Boy you're right and wrong!
The .......s also don't care about HON's!
LH care about cash cows, status does not matter. See my experience here! They refused boarding in C (= upgrade) despite the fact that I had an eligible booking class and a valid SWU from United. I was finally forced to stay in MUC and neither LH nor UA want't to take resposibility
So, it's not about status with LH, it's about who pays expensive tickets @:-)

i have a feeling it very often has to do with social skills (or lack thereof)... all those "i will never ever set foot on airline x" have the same ring to them...
after about 8 years of status (FTL, SEN and HON) and 1000+ flights mainly on LH/OS/LX, i never ever had a such bad experiences as described in this and many other threads of the same kind. and i've had enough situations where it didn't go as planed...

Lack of social skills from the arrogant LH staff members, right. You might be right. The OP described the abuse of power of LH staff member Mr Otto

You need at least V (or more expensive) - not L.

Additional items which are allowed in the cabin
In addition to your hand baggage and technical appliances you may take the following items into the cabin:
* A handbag, wrist bag or small bag (or small laptop bag) and their content
* A coat, shawl or blanket
* A small camera or a pair of binoculars
* An appropriate amount of reading material for the journey
* A infant carrier and baby food for the flight
* Crutches or other orthopedic aids you are depending on

How wrong can you be, Mr Weero?
I have in my hand a letter from Lufthansa Cutomer Services in which they assure me in very fulsome terms that my safety and comfort are priorities for the airline. I would call that a very caring attitide indeed, very far "from caring less".
They are extremely apologetic about cancelling my connecting flight, but confirm that it was for reasons totally beyond their control. I am now embarrassed at my thoughtless display of anger and the vitriolic tone I used in my note of complaint. After all, eight hours in FRA isn't the end of he world: their are far, far worse places to be!
I may even return some miles as a small token of my contrition and gratitude.
Customer service go so far as to say they look forward to greeting me on future flights with Lufthansa. Such kindness, and a sentiment I warmly reciprocate.

I only read the first post and don't have much to say, I think everything must have already been said before by others...
Your post is ridiculous, I understand that you may be upset about what happened but Lufthansa is much more than the little bad experience you had. I can imagine how 'nice' you were while talking to the agent and I'm sure you let everybody know around you about how an important frequent flyer you are.

Keep flying US Airways and other sh itty US airlines and leave the good European ones alone!

While US airlines are by no means great (or even good), LH no longer has much to be proud of either, at least in Y and C, with their antiquated seats and IFE.

Long haul flights aside, I would much rather be on the sh*tty US airlines in their domestic business/first than on the LH NEK cabin in Business - that looks horrible.

people just doing their jobs
It pretty clear what is allowable on this flight. I understand that your equipment was extremely valuable. However that being said it is then your responsibility to have that equipment packed securely enough that there is a low possibility of the items to be broken. You aslo have the opportunity to have the items shipped safely. When traveling it is your responsibility to know and fully understand the guidelines. American flights might be more lax in their requirements but that is not always a good thing.

Manners are something else.
Already your statement "people like you!" is a disgrace and you should be ashamed of yourself. Luckily I seem to have a better education - also when it comes to English grammar - than you and when I stop by my apartment in MUC I hope that I will never cross your way.
People like you have a big mouth on the internet and love to insult & provoke others. Truly entertaining!
best regards.
