LH care about cash cows, status does not matter. See my
experience here! They refused boarding in C (= upgrade) despite the fact that I had an eligible booking class and a valid SWU from United. I was finally forced to stay in MUC and neither LH nor UA want't to take resposibility
So, it's not about status with LH, it's about who pays expensive tickets @:-)
