wrong thread to talk about it, but the precursor of NEK, also called NKS, had the feature of the co called 'cocktail' table in the middle seat and the feature to move the armrests of the middle seats to make the middle seat narrower and the aisle/window seat wider. As many didn't notice this feature, LH has enhanced it away in NEK. The armrests cannot be moved, but when folded up nealy vanish in the gap between the seats and are rounded on the bottom not to poke in your back.

I call Bullsh** here, as WiFi is free for anybody entitled to use the RCC. Just ask for the WIFI card.

+1

Because of that and some extremely bad experiences on LH in the early nineties, LH has only received less than 0.5% of my business (about 1.8 million miles flown) since then. And whenever I have a feeder flight with them, I have the relevant rules (checked baggage allowance etc) on hand in hard-copy. Just in case...

I think what Rambuster wanted to illustrate is that on any airline can you find employees who deny benefits even so they are part of the rules. So while he was entitled to the Wifi voucher the lounge personnel didn't give him one. I had the same problem a while ago as well.

I overheard an FR gate dragon arguing with a pax at LGW last week that "your bag feels overweight, take some things out or you can't fly, or if you want to dispute the weight we can go out to the customer service desk and weigh it there, but you'll have been offloaded by the time you get back".

(I did see the guy on the flight; I believe he managed to repack his and his partner's bags to the satisfaction of the gate dragon.)

You can call whatever you like - I still didn't get the wifi voucher !
The Lounge dragon told me that I either need to be a UA MP member then I could log on with my account or I need to be travelling International C or F with UA.

I had just arrived on LH F FRA-DEN and was connecting DEN-LAS on UA F.
She didn't want to give me a voucher. Full stop.

Same thing for me, no free WiFi in the worn carpet clubs, arriving in C or F and connecting always in F.
And always the discussion showing the black card " no man you have to have at least gold status to enter the lounge". Luckily sometimes Mrs. Fendant helps out with her SEN card.

I can't imagine how anybody could pay hard earned $$'s for the UA WCC's !

This is a thread where you post horror stories about LH. Please open a new thread in the UA forum and post your horror stories about the RCCs there. Thanks.

Puzzling and regrettable attitude on LD's part. Since the beginning of 2011 I've found the RCC lounges at IAD, DCA, ORD, and LAX very willing to offer an Internet voucher even when I've been traveling on UA with a low Y fare.

olm022: Utter nonsense. Please consult carry-on rules on lh.come before posting inaccurate information.
And I am sure you will point us to the ACCURATE information instead of just calling my well researched data "nonsense". So will you please provide a link to where it says anything different from this, posted on LH's very own website:

Economy Class passengers are only permitted one piece of hand luggage.

Which part of "only one piece" is unclear to you? That IS Lufthansa's carry-on policy.

http://www.lufthansa.com/de/en/Carry-on-baggage

I agree with the "utter nonsense" part of your comment. That has been my opinion of Lufthansa all along.
