I am looking for an award seat in F on 24 or 25 or 26 Sept. from BRU to the US (west coast preferred, but mid west will do). I am finding only LX to ORD - better than nothing but I'd prefer further west and LH. LH doesn't show any availability on these dates on any flight (F or C).

Shall grab the LX seat while available or risk waiting?

Is there YQ surcharge on awards on flights operated by NZ ex US or Japan e.g. NRT-AKL?

My last M&M award redemption on NZ ex-US was in December 2011 (LAX-AKL-LAX) and YQ was charged, for adults as well as for an INF ticket.

I was holding a reservation ex-NRT, also in 2011, and would have been charged YQ as well.

Ex-NZ tough, there should be no YQ charged.

That's what I thought. Then I saw this:

Good on you! YQ would be USD 340 for that flight.

I would recommend that you remove your name, PNR and ticket number from that screenshot, though.

Where may I go to see how many tickets/seats are available for a particular upcoming flight on Lufthansa?

Thats MMS, a blogger who posted the screenshot on his website when he was highlighting the use of 50k M&M miles from a CC: http://millionmilesecrets.com/2013/0...fthansa-miles/

Correct, I have no interest in promoting his blog on FT, so I deliberately did not post the link.

Anyone know? I am hoping to figure out the load on an upcoming flight to see if it's oversold...

Frankfurt Airport's website also confirms Saturday's LH418 (which returns as LH419 later in the day) is D-ABYG which is a 748i. Why do you trust a third party website than the operating airline?

Thanks a lot - that's a big relief!

I didn't trust it more, I was just scared of the idea to loose my upper deck seat!

Hi, I'm thinking about joining M&M, my family lives in Europe
and I like traveling through Frankfurt. Only use my miles
on European travels. But it seems like it's hard to earn Lufthansa miles
if you live in the US. Other than Lufthansa, are there any ways
to earn M&M miles? Credit card I guess, moving miles from Starwood
could be another option. Can I earn M&M on United flights?
Anything else? Thanks!
