Looking for a F reward to BKK this year I see that at least on some dates there's no F available from FRA (not even revenue). Too much PADs or is this one of the routes to get 2 class 747?

Exactly the same thing for me.

You can check it on the LH Website under "my bookings" or also on checkmytrip.com with your amadeus code

Thanks for that! I appreciate the response! I also figured it out using the KVS tool as well.

I already had a confirmed award booking for 2 F seats (*A) when the cabin configurations were 16 seats. With the modifications in the cabin will my award booking still be honored in F?

I am taking all of Row 81, that way I won't have to see anyone else, besides my traveling companion. It's like my own Private Jet

If you have a ticket, you have a ticket. LH will honour this of course.

plus you'll get a spectacular view of the toilet doors from those aisle seats!

Unless they decide to re-book you on another flight as has happened in the past according to at least one person's experience when his AC was changed from a 747 to an A380!
I hope not.

I was told they cannot use the same seat as on the A380 due to the weight restraints for the upper deck.

That is the downside, of course. But we've still switched 83 to 81 for an overnight TATL we've got booked for May. On balance, with the clamber factor removed, 81 should be more peaceful.

So: when is someone going to post some pictures???

Why not do row 82 - still less foot traffic/bounce but a distance from the toilets?

Thank heavens you've all put in about these seat changes - I just checked a trip for July with 3 747 F flights and all 3 have been changed to this "8 seats in the upper deck style".

Could it be that they are going to block off the other seats and not sell them for all 747 flights, whether or not they have been refitted with the new product?
Hmmmmm...................

81A will be your bed and no one in 83C - this might actually become a very popular choice for people who just want to sleep as your bed is in the corner far away from everything.

Row 83 will loose its popularity and the new pecking order will be:

81 over 82 over 83 over 84.

I figure, since it is a night flight, 81A (C) will be very secluded and will be perfect for sleeping. I'm hoping that the toilet won't be so much of a factor.

Last time I had 82A and it was fine, however, I guess I just like having the feeling of being alone.

Last time I was on LX, I had 1K and the only other passengers were in 2A and 2D. I didn't see them the entire flight. LX spoiled me ^
