Thanks for the update, hamallu. It's a shame if D-AIFF hasn't been retrofitted. Please keep us posted.

D-ABVO seems to have been out of circulation between 12 December and 4 January.

Any info on retrofit plans in 2012?

You can add DXB to the randomly served destinations by the MUC-based A340-600 - flew that plane on 05.01.

According to Flightradar24, D-AIFF is currently on the way from MUC-BOS. I am flying the LH425 to MUC in F tonight, so I will let you know if new F is installed. My hopes weren't too high of having new F, but now I am cautiously optimistic.

So, was it? I see D-AIFF is back from BOS and on its way to NRT now.

I flew on LH425 departing Jan. 10 and it did not have new F. Flightradar 24 said the plane was D-AIFF and the purser said the registration was "FF" but it was old First.

I chatted with the purser saying that I thought this plane had been in to have new F installed, but she didn't know much about it.

The cabin looked very clean and felt rather new, especially the carpet. It was my first time in LH F so I can't compare it to anything else. This is just a guess, but it is possible that maybe they did some minor refreshing of the cabin instead.

Either way, I can confirm that D-AIFF does not have new First.

Just got off HKG-FRA flight in LH F with new F in 744. At the time of changing my flight to BKK-HKG-FRA (initially had BKK-FRA), I noticed highest chance of getting new F on this route and it worked out perfectly! I was praying not to be the victim of small(er) chance

I must say that new F on 744 is the best F I've flown so far (I've done F on SQ 77Ws and 744, LX, TG's 77Ws, UA's new F, CX new F, and few others). The bed is proper bed and the lounging chair is also quite comfortable. To add to this, the service was very good despite having full cabin.

I am not sure how this compares to the 388's F cabin (which I've given up to try TG's 77W F suites), but I am quite happy to have given up LH F on the A380.

Looking out from the United First Class Lounge D-AIVP just parked at SFO gate 102! Looks like I will get the new first! Last time I had it for ORD-FRA... it was too short to enjoy it ^

Another confirmation that D-AIFF has not yet been updated as of 2012-01-17. I'll check D-AIGV in a few hours.

Are there any more retrofits taking place? There does not seem to be much talk of late about Lufthansa's conversion plans for 2012.

Spectacular! 4 thumbs up for the new F with beds. We both thought it was the best long flight we ever took as we both slept like babies. Well done LH!
