Sorry, I was confused. It's D-AIKJ with new F but old C.

It looks like today's FRA-DFW (LH438) is being operated by a 744 (D-ABVZ). Anyone know why?

Is it because they're short A330s out of FRA or is the 744 now seasonal into DFW?

The article links two completely separate subjects- how does the reduction of air traffic controllers relate to queues for border clearance/passport control? If anything this would reduce the rate of arrival for flights (which is mentioned in the article) which would mean less lengthy queues.

On my last three arrivals (LAX, JFK, EWR) I had no line at all for CBP. Keep up the good work to discourage travelers, seems to be working for me!

Same here. I was in and out of LAX in the last week with no lines at immigration nor security.

Exact same thing for me. I think it's a lot of hype with very little substance.

Took us 10 min to get thru immigration in EWR. Turned out that the line for visitors was shorter than for citizens

It seems Mr Lufthansa was inspired by his recent visit to the US... now he says the industry will and must consolidate...

Sadly Europe doesn't operated in a isolated ownership law structure like the US, so I doubt there will be three carriers left in a few years.
