Incredible. Went through various times with a full water bottle since that was ok for a while with the new AMS scanners. Yes, at other airports I saw myself drinking the bottle empty if something was left.

I’ve got an upcoming AMS-LCY trip in business. First time in business on KLM. Is there some kind of fast track through security/passport control for business class passengers?

on departure, yes
on arrival, no. But as it's LCY you won't need it anyway.

Great, thanks. Is it security, passport control, or both?

I know the deal at LCY, hence only booked in economy on the way out.

At AMS only security have priority. Border control does not have that unless you have Privium.

Privium is strictly speaking not priority but a separate biometric channel.

Arrived today from GIG at E gates. Queue for passport control was quite lengthy upstairs. It took 15 min. to get downstairs for the 2nd queue. Non-EU passports had a queue of approx. 40-45 min. (6 booths were open, one also serving crews etc.). Time eventually increased to 55-60 min. altohugh my impression was that the line was moving faster than that. EU passports used the e-gates (in total 6). I was through the gates in 15 min, so overall 30 min. wait.

If I fly SIN-(KL)-AMS-(Transavia)-AGP in Economy as a non-FB Elite Plus member, what kind of transfer experience can I expect in early August (imagine this is peak leisure season)?

- What would lines be like at transfer passport control and/or security (or does SIN count as 'secure')?
- Does the Transavia flight depart from the low cost wing and what would the impact be from a waiting time perspective if that's the case?
- What benefits does SkyPriority give at AMS for a transfer like this? Will there be (actual time saving) priority lanes for passport control and/or security?
- Do Transavia offer priority boarding for members with SkyPriority? In fact, are ANY of the SkyPriority benefits available to me if I transfer from a KL flight to a Transavia flight?

Really appreciate your input!

I think SIN is a clean arrival so no security control.

There is no priority at passport control for anybody.

Transavia uses the “normal” gates, likely C or D.

Transavia is not a sky team member. You can expect no benefits.

I remember reading that if the flight is only from SIN, it's clean, but if it's a flight that stops in SIN on the way from somewhere else, you will have to reclear in AMS.

Quick report as of Thursday morning: No wait at SP check-in or security, but 20-30 minutes in the queue at passport control with three booths open plus 2 self-scanning machines.

On a 9pm flight from AMS on Sunday night (23rd). Non-schengen. With Sky Priority, hand luggage only.

Any estimates on when yo arrive at AMS? Was thinking 7pm.

Booked an early arrival from Edi to enjoy a day in the city before flying on, without realising it was school holidays and a chaos weekend!
