Guess the KMAR (who do the passport control) may be understaffed due to the train meltdown, unable reaching Schiphol.

Any data points for today? Trains still seem quite messy.

don't know about trains, nor landside to airside, but transfer NS->S was very quick, and looking back at the S->NS queue as I went upstairs to the S Crown lounge, that was even emptier.

Arriving 6-6 11.15 pm: almost deserted airport, as could be expected at this time. Arrived from Schengen. Down from the C-pier to the luggage belt lots of repairs going on, only one door open to enter the area with luggage belts. Looked weird, really. And hope this was only for repairs during the night, how this should work if you have many pax going out very unclear. Trains running normal (albeit my one overcrowded since filled with young folks, guess some pop concert or so).

Wasn't he there when the meltdown occured? I've seen stuff say there was absolute madhouse at Bijlmer ArenA because a concert in AFAS and another concert in Johan Cruiff Arena ended at almost the same time.

I have a 40mns connection tomorrow around noon, NS to S. (I have an EU passport)

I considered bringing hold luggage to get a free set of new clothes, but in the end decoded it wasn't worth the hass so going HBO.

I have never tried to cut it this close in the past, so all bets are open.

If the arrival from NS is a long haul you will like it make it because those very often arrive earlier than scheduled, easily half and hour or more. If it is UK or something close like that, less luck

And time of day makes a big difference too.

However I'm convinced that even with the mess at KMar these days the bulk of border crossings should still be possible within expected MCT. If that wasn't the case we would have seen this reported more often. Also, airlines would be mor reluctant to sell such short connection tickets if the bulk of these 40-min connections wouldnt be possible.

I assume on one ticket. Like said above, they would not sell this if a large number of connections (including of luggage) would be missed. Too expensive.
