It was not. I checked in three Filipinos and one Filipina, all seafarers, flying on three different PNRs.

Correct, I am.

Thx for clarification. And did all three get the same offer?

I can't recall for sure whether I checked all three PNRs, but the amount was the same for those I did check. I did so only out of idle curiosity, as I knew that none of them wanted to upgrade.

In the hope of being offered a reasonable buy-up at OLCI, how does it work if one if travlleing on codeshare flight numbers? I have an itinerary coming up on DL 9xxx flight numbers wholly operated by KLM, with the outbound GVA-AMS-JFK and the inbound JFK-AMS-EDI. Should I check in on the KLM website, since they are the operating carrier? Are OLCI buy-ups even offered for codeshares such as these?

I do not know the answer, but surely KL would want to cast its net as wide as possible. Restricting upgrade offers only to pax on KL flight numbers doesn't make sense.

Do they only ever offer the upgrade over single segments then? Would a GVA-AMS-JFK stand a chance of being offered a through upgrade?

AMS-MNL is no longer operated as a non-stop. Since the commencement of the summer timetable, MNL is operated as a "tag" on the newly-direct AMS-TPE flights. Previously, TPE itself was operated as a "tag" on AMS-BKK flights.

I really don't think you could ever get a "through" upgrade offer (except on a two-stop flight operated by the same aircraft, as in the AMS-TPE-MNL reported above, though the system there can handle the AMS-MNL as a single segment). I expect that it is done on a segment by segment base. And even assuming there was availability on both legs, and you were selected to receive an offer for both, I'm not sure it could "combine" them into a single offer.

My advice would be to check your connection again at AMS.

Got an offer for an upgrade to C on NUE-AMS tomorrow for 70 EUR. Not even thinking of taking it, though it's cheaper than it was the last few times.

AMS-CPH: not offered.

Flight shows J3/C3/D3/O2 for three rows of EB. Y looks pretty full. Hardly a seat available as far back as the EE row, almost everything from there on. Instead of pre-assigning me an EE row seat, which they have been wont to do recently (and which seat I do not want), they assigned me a windów seat (which I do not want either). So much for selecting aisle as preferred seating option. They keep telling me that my profile is only 65% complete. I wonder why!

AMS-CPH, three seats now availalble at €151.-- On an E190, so not even a free middle seat. No prizes for guessing whether I jumped at the offer.
