But I guess you got the point anyway and the answer was helpful to Fabo.sk who initially asked about it.

Got an offer of a EUR 59 upgrade from AMS to EDI. Is it worth it? I am statusless with SkyTeam. Does anyone know what booking class these special upgrades are booked into? Thanks.

I'm not too sure concerning the booking class but you would get the same amount of miles as per the original fare (this is clearly stated in the T&Cs). That said, I can think of several better ways of spending 59 EUR but, as you have no Sky Team status, the upgrade would give you access to Sky Priority services i.e. fast track at security, lounge (in case you want to treat yourself to some ghastly food), priority boarding and, last but not least, a mediocre meal on board.

Yes it was, and thanks for that.
I would indeed expect it takes at most a couple of moments, but I had no idea whether there are any special tools needed, perhaps, that are not available to the cabin crew (hence the moving would only be done in the hub with ground crew assistance)

If so inclined.

I've heard a purser claim that it could not be done, even though the curtain was a row too far forward, so one row of J pax ended up behind it.

AMS-FCO 89€ yesterday, no thanks for a 2 hours flight… but got upgraded to EBC for free at boarding time (the machine printed me a paper with a new seat after I scanned my BP).

I was upgraded to European Business Class for free yesterday from NWI to AMS. I really enjoyed the extra large water bottle you get compared to Y.....

Was that offered or did you ask.

That is the highest I ever heard of if it was OLCI... and that might be signs for the future...

That was the OLCI offer, and yes this is also the highest I ever saw/heard, but I rarely travel on highly discounted fares.
