Asked on another thread. A colleague is travelling with their adult child with a severe intellectual disability. Not visible. Are there special lines at NRT. Pax has a translated version of a medical note and makes clear there is no equivalent of a 障がい者手帳 from the country of origin. Not sure the would be able to use QR to open gates and would need much help with fingerprints and photo.

I was on a Hanoi - Narita flight -- landed a bit before 06:30 -- earlier this month; no immigration queue at NRT (I did sprint ahead, however, due to a connection at HND). Immigration and customs took no time at all, but I did wait longer than usual for my checked luggage.

Off topic but give yourself plenty of time to get the TTP card at Narita. Took a staff of four almost an hour to get mine to print at NRT T2 last week. Seems lots of systems issues.

Good tip thanks. I was just deciding if I wanted to do it on arrival or head to HND to do it. Hour ain't that bad though.

My dates were 3/1 application, 3/9 notice of completion of primary inspection. I must have gotten in right before things picked up.

Arrived Apr 6 9pm and had around 800 people in-line for immigration - about 90 minutes to clear immigration. My parents arrived 11am a few days later and virtually no queue.

I just arrived at HND today around 5:20 AM. Got off the plane pretty quickly and had about maybe 40-50 people in front of me but the line moved very quickly. About 10-15 minutes later I was waiting for my bags so I looked back at the immigration line and there had to be at least a few hundred people in line all of a sudden.

Nrt terminal 1 last night: I was early off flight from Taipei and had 2 minute wait through immigration. Bags were waiting. Zero wait through customs. I had completed visit Japan website. A complete pleasure.

Checked in at Narita around 4pm today, zero wait anywhere. From stepping of the Narita Express until I was in the lounge 15 to 20 minutes. Compared to chaos Haneda has become, it was really nice to be back in Narita.

Got in to Narita yesterday (Friday) at about about 2pm. I was about halfway to the back of the plane, but the plane was 50% full, so I had about 50 people in front of me when I got to immigratoin. As mentioned by others on this forum, there are no longer checks at NRT for qurantine procedures, at least at T1. I walked straight to immigraiton, and it took me about 30 minutes total to get through, they were processing people a bit slow. They had some electronic terminals up at the end of the line to supplement the manned desks, and some people were ushered to them. I tried but it couldn't read my passport, so I was put back in line to talk to a live person. I went to the QR code gate at customs, scanned my QR code and passport, clicked to verify, and then walked right out the gate with nobody talking to me, ez pz. Overall, about 45 minutes from leaving the plane to getting to the train station after a quick stop at the arrival duty-free shop.

We arrived today at 2pm - immigration was empty and so was customs - from landing to the limousine bus was less than 20 minutes.

No checks of VJW prior to immigration at all - but still used at immigration and customs.
