If it has the same issue. I just cant lie down comfortably if my feet are pushing against the walls.
I generally don't like tapered footwells either, but some have much more space than others. For example, on ANA's old staggered J seat on the 77W I thought the footwell was very spacious. Same with the ANA A380. The Room, however, has a much smaller footwell that squashes your feet. The worst one I ever experienced was the "throne" seat on a MH A330. That footwell was TINY. I expect the new JAL seat to have a footwell similar to ANA's old 77W staggered seat, so I think it will be very spacious.

Which is, interestingly enough, the same seat that KLM uses. Though I don't know if there are densification options that Zip picked.

Not sure, haven't been on KLM to compare. The interesting thing with zip is how widely the footwells vary within the full flat cabin.

I believe originally scheduled for July 6, potentially moved up to April 7.

According to this article, there will be a total of 7 A350-1000s delivered by the end of this year: https://www.flightglobal.com/airline...155743.article (alternate link https://archive.is/BWibs)

Perhaps two more routes this year if these are all delivered on schedule? The total number of FC seats for sale out of ORD seems sort of odd, starting in September the only day with 7 FC seats available is Friday. LHR stops selling 7 FC seats starting in November. So if I had to take a guess, ORD and LHR will be the next routes.

I was selfishly hoping for LAX, but it makes sense that JAL wants to put this plane on the longer routes first.

They don't always go for the longest route. Aircraft rotation is another consideration. Just look at how JL11/12 gets A35K before JL3/4. You should keep an eye on No. 4 and No. 5 deliveries.

No, there's NO official announcements. People just guessed the dates based on inventory and other data.
