Does someone mind checking a date at the Thalasso for a Chase free night for me please? We have a few nights there but had to start at the Moana due to no availability that night. I don't want to risk canceling the Moana to put the Chase free night back in our account so that it will allow me to search the Thalasso for the same night. Please PM me. Ty!
Edit: never mind, I noticed that One Mile at a Time says if a points room is available, then a Chase free night is "The IHG Card anniversary free night certificate comes from the same inventory as points stays, so if you can redeem points for a stay, you can also redeem this certificate.". Went ahead and canceled Moana and rebooked at Thalasso.

Some statistics:
I counted 11 days in February (7), 18 days in March (6), 17 days in April (5), 10 days in May (4) and 10 days in June (5) that became available over the last 2 days.
The numbers in brackets are the longest set of consecutive nights during that month. But interestingly it seems the consecutive nights were mostly not released at the same time. So it is very difficult for someone to book 4+ days together. In the past it was relatively easy to book a week at a time.
I wonder if that is their new strategy to release months in bulk rather than 1 day or 1 week at a time. Or maybe they got told off by IHG that they have to release their reward nights. Over the last few months almost nothing became available, sometimes only 1 night in 1 or 2 weeks.

There is only one room available per night and once they become available they get booked very quickly. What I listed are all the dates that became available over the last 2 days. What you see are only the dates no one has booked yet.

If you want to go direct. If you hotel(s) have free shuttle to the Mainland that will be cheaper, but a bit of a hassle.
