I don't get it.
I need 22 stays for a measly 20,200 points (for a total of 105K) in 4 brands (that part isn't so hard). And my "Get out there" hotels are in Japan and Australia! My account is registered in Europe, though.
Edit to add: posting from Indo now and registered from there, maybe that affected my get out there locations.

My offer was:
1 stay = 1000
35 nights = 16300
4 brands = 16000
4 Saturdays = 6400
survey = 100
2 cities = 12000
finish = 52000
TOTAL = 103800
Not very tempting. 35 nights for 16300 points?
and some random hotels in Europe for the 2 cities. I have never stayed at a IHG brand hotel in Europe in my life, so not sure why I would fly there for 12000 points
This promotion will net me 1100 points. Great promotion for me :-)

I got following offer after registering:
Try one and done - 1,000 Points
Stay more & earn more - 12 nights - 9,000 Points
Explore our brands stay - 3 different brands - 14,000 Points
Survey the win - 100 Points
Live the city life - 2 stays among offered cities (mostly European metropolis) - 7,200 Points
Win in a weekend - 2 Saturday nights - 4,800 Points
Win big - 36,000 Points
Not too bed! Very likely will fulfill as is really wide range of the locations offered under the "Live the city live" part of the promotion. And 36,000 points on the end are definitely additional as counter on progress track shows 00000/72000.^

I'm guessing the people who got stronger promotions, well at least those who have fewer required stays, generally do fewer paid nights. It's to get people involved by baby steps.
My guess.

It was good fun until I got
Try one and done - 1,000 Points
Stay more & earn more - 15 nights - 9,000 Points - joke, 600 points a night
Explore our brands stay - 4 different brands - 24,000 Points
Survey the win - 100 Points
Live the city life - 2 stays among offered cities (mostly European metropolis) - 7,200 Points
Win in a weekend - 3 Saturday nights - 5,600 Points
Win big - 36,000 Points
I'd been laying off IHG due to the changes this year. Should've skipped them completely, best deals seem to go to folks with no/limited stay history. Good luck to those people but as usual, 30+ nighters get crappy deals...none of it remotely fits into my current stay pattern and it is cheaper to but points than achieve it
If this is there only promo to the end of the year, see you next year(maybe!)

I got the link for this promo in an email to me saying I could win 92,000 points
However, when I go to sign in and register, it says we are sorry, please try again later, or something to that effect. Anyone else having issues?

@ scuba - Agree. Now we need to find out if 5000 point bonus package nights can be used as a qualifying night.
Reward Yourself with Bonus Points
As a IHG® Rewards Club member, you already earn points each time you stay at any hotel across IHG's family of brands. Why not earn even more points?
When you book a IHG® Rewards Club Bonus Points package, you can earn up to 5,000 bonus points on your stay at a participating hotel. That means you'll earn Reward Nights even faster and you'll have more points in your account to redeem for great brand-name merchandise.
Choose a hotel with the Bonus Points icon when booking and select a Bonus Points package to begin boosting your account balance. Book now!

Even worse for me:
1 stay = 1000
42 nights = 18600
5 brands = 18000
survey = 100
2 hotels in Sao Paulo, Montréal, Vancouver, NYC, LA, Denver, Washington DC, Seattle, Chicago, San Francisco, Mexico City (including the Crowne Plaza Sao Paulo...which does not exist)= 12000
finish = 45000
TOTAL = 89900

"Live The City Life"
I am still not 100% certain on the use of "distinct" in the T&C. Most are saying it pertains to you having to obtain stays in different (distinct) cites. Could it also not be interpreted (given how poorly IHG typically words things) that the "distinct" is merely trying to ensure that only certain cities apply to this hurdle?
Would be nice if there was an official response from an IHG concierge lurking this forum.
