Been stalking for months, but just joined

Hello all! I'm new to the miles game. I get cranky if I'm stuck at home for more than 3 weeks in a row. I adore Europe and fly Lufthansa if at all possible, hence the United loyalty. Gunning for Premier Gold this year. Learning all the acronyms. Thanks for everything I've learned so far.

Hey everyone! First post on FlyerTalk! I was directed here after reading the Frequent Flyer Master ebook about travel hacking and earning enough miles to cover my flights around the world for "free". I'm hoping to get some insight into the process and maybe some help in ironing out any kinks that I might find along the way. Looking forward to learning what I can from you fine folks! :D

Hello

Hello everyone,
My name is Joe and i am happy to be able to join. I love to travel and I am PhD student working on my dissertation about travel, I am hoping to be able to post my survey request on this board as well as learn and share travel experiences and knowledge.

Hey everyone -

I've been lurking on these forums for years, and finally decided it was time to join.

I'm 1K with United, flying a lot across the pond. But given my recent relocation to South Florida, I'm working to transition to American. The tips on these boards helped a lot with my "challenge" phone call today.

Hey, the forums have helped me and my coworkers make the most of loyalty programs. I plan to use it a lot in the future.

Hi folks-- transplant to the SE United States here, trying to figure out a new miles strategy on a budget. No location is too farfetched.

Been a longtime customer and fan of AA, but I now live in the shadow of Delta at KATL. It'll be interesting to see how I can make things work.

Hi, everyone!

Like a lot of members, I'm a long time lurker, first time joiner (poster?)
I spent too many years thinking that travel was out of my reach and am currently gathering miles for my first international trip this fall.

Someday I hope to have valuable information to share here, but in the meantime, I am happily reading the threads and absorbing all the great info!

Based in Houston (IAH)

travel domestic US/Canada for business. 2013 flew 78,000 miles (United) and stayed at Hilton (Hampton, Doubletree, etc) about 70 nights

I do like my miles and points!

This year my wife and I are using 200,000 of my acquired United miles and flying Business class to Paris, and back from Dublin. YeeaaaHaaa

Not exactly a new member, but have never been very active on this site. I'm in my late 40's and have decided to take either an extended leave of absence from work, or just retire all together. I would like to take six months to a year and travel the world. I have friends in several countries which will greatly reduce the cost of my accommodations, but I need to learn how to find cheap flights. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Home airport is DFW.

Hi everyone and hope you're all well.
Been reading the numerous interesting posts since we decided to do our first Avios trip to the US. Am sure that I'll be able to get some very good advice on here and am so sorry that I won't be able to tell you guys anything you don't know:( Maybe some day in another life:)

Hi, new to the hobby and would love to learn some tricks to earn some status/perks in my late middle age years :)

I'm 9 years removed from the Midwest now in the metro Phoenix Area and "committed" to my bride to spend more quality time with her, preferably for free :)
