Hi folks,

Just joined today after lurking for a few weeks. I currently live in Bangkok on assignment with the US Department of State. I'll be flying back and forth to the US a few times over the next few years (sometimes on my own dime) and want to maximize the benefits. I just signed up for the CSP card (currently use Citi Forward for everything) to get the no forex fees as well as the UR points. Currently playing around with various options to try to get back to the US for a friend's wedding in May. If anyone wants to help me learn to use some of the more pro online tools to search for flights, shoot me a PM. Should be a nice little puzzle to solve for those of you who love piecing together segments!

Hello FTers, I am a new member looking to tap into this great knowledge resource for trip planning and flying advice. Haven't been travelling much but I am hoping this will change and I sure appreciate all the goodwill demonstrated by the many good hearted posters on helping the less fortunate such as myself. Thanks for taking pity on us newbies, and my wish for all is for your skies to be clear and your flight always early!! Safe travels to all.

Hello all.

New member from Kansas City, Missouri. Just started seriously paying attention to miles/points recently (mostly with United MileagePlus so far- got up to 100k miles in 2 months, thought I might start looking into it seriously) and a friend set me on to this website. Excited to learn new things!

New poster, long time lurker from Pittsburgh. Excited to get more time off and concentrate more on traveling!

I lurked for a while and joined in July... just found this thread :P

I'm based in SXM. I'm a MileagePlus member because the award rules are great and I enjoy SPG hotels!

New poster, medium time lurker from SFO. I fly too much, don't like it, and am more interested in making it suck less than in doing more of it. I can handle most anything for 5 hours, but get me on 10k to 20k+ BIS miles in a week or two and I start caring a bit much about seats and airport amenities. Never cared much about how fancy the champagne is[n't].

New member from Berlin / Riga

Hi there,

I am a Berliner living in Riga (capital of Latvia).

I am always in search for LH evouchers: is it permitted to "trade" them here @ flyertalk? If so: which sub forum?

I travel a lot for business - mostly to conferences - and have to pay it all myself (self employed Internet consultant).

I never eat airplane food. I don't watch movies on board. I have a cat.

Hi there, I have just joined this forum and wondered if anyone new if I would be able to book via American Airlines using my Avios I have on B.A. as London to US on AA.com has a lot more award availability.
Thanks for any help.

Hey everyone. I finally joined because I'm planning for my honeymoon from DCA-ROM in September, but the prices have already gone up from $750/per to about $1000, and that's flying Turkish Airlines with a 6+ hour layover in IST. So I figured, hey, why don't we just fly for free instead! And free hotels! So for right now, I'm in immediate gratification mode, trying to maximize my rewards before things get booked up, but I don't want to screw myself over too much for the future.

Hi everyone, based out of Frankfurt/Germany, I am always interested in Business / First Class deals to the U.S. and/or Asia. Also, I am registered with the American Airlines frequent flier prorgram and looking for affordable ways to attain elite status.

Unfortunately, it is not permitted in the general forums to trade instruments or other items. Later on down your FlyerTalk career, you may find some options becoming available to you, but not in the general forums.

Hello!

After lurking awhile, I finally registered. I'm an infrequent flyer (4-5 times a year) but I've been flying infrequently for a long time. On this site, I've learned a lot about how to travel more efficiently and how to make my trips more pleasant and comfortable. Just wanted to let everyone know how much I appreciate all the great recommendations and information on these forums. Thanks!
