Saket hotels

Need to select a hotel in Saket and the current chain options are the Sheraton and the Hilton Garden Inn - both in Saket. Their pricing is different and presumably, so are their service standards,. But which one would you choose and why? Which has better F&B? Which has more shopping nearby? And does one have easier access to the airport than the tother?

Cannot answer the first question but as to your last two - they are located adjacent to each other in a complex which also has two of Delhi's largest malls. So the shopping experience and airport access are identical for both.

The Sheraton is superior to the Garden Inn in every way. The only advantage the Garden Inn has over the Sheraton is that it is directly connected to one of the malls. To get from the Sheraton to the mall you have to exit through the back gate of the hotel & walk about 100 meters. Hardly a difference but if its raining or extremely cold then that small difference makes the Garden Inn a better bet.

If the price was same or similar then I would pick the Sheraton.

The Lodhi is also one of the finest hotels you can stay in Delhi it has some great service to offer and the staff was so good as per my experience.

Leela palace was a great place to stay. But you can try the difference between staying in Imperial or Oberoi they had the best service to offer. You might change your opinion after once visiting each of them. But my first choice is to go try once imperial it's the best destination for travelers.

The best-located of all the hotels mentioned is The Imperial. I haven't stayed there for 20 years, mainly because it has moved out of my price range, but the location can't be beaten, and if your budget can stand it, go for it. I still head there for a beer and the occasional meal. Does anyone else remember it 35 years ago, when Remy Fernandes and his Goan band provided the musical backing for the (very popular with Russians) steak bar?

Just wrapped up a great spring break with my son in india last week. We stayed in two properties in Delhi. One night just the two of us at the JW. And 3 nights split between the Le Meridien and the JW along with my parents.

Both properties are highly recommended. Incredible service and soft product. The LM is a little older but the location cant be beat.

I do have to give a shout out to the duty manager at the LM. Id booked two rooms for us. He came over when we were checking in and spontaneously upgraded us to a 2 bedroom suite. Completely unexpected and made our stay that much more comfortable. Being on the 19th floor and watching eagles flying below us was quite the sight.

The JW upgraded us to their suites each night we were there. And their sous chef did remember me from last year. He made my boys breakfast quite spectacular.

Id recommend either one whole heartedly to anyone visiting Delhi.

Of the four hotels below (all in a similar high mid price range, but not luxury) which would you recommend? I have Titanium Status at Le Meridien and ITC, nada at the other two. But locale is paramount for me, first time tourist to Delhi.

Le Meridien
Radisson Blu Connaught (cheapest of all 4)
ITC Mauyra
Shangri La

Stayed at the Shangri La in August. It was nice, not great. Club level room, and thus access to the top-floor lounge was nice, especially for a quiet breakfast (the main restaurant was very busy in the mornings), and a space to work / meet during the day.

Next time I'm going back to the Trident in Gurgaon, which I much prefer if I don't have to be around Connaught Place.

The ITC is the best hotel out of the 4 you mentioned but the location is not tourist friendly. Given these choices, I would probably pick the Le Mridien based on the convenience of location & Bonvoy status.

Thanks. That's the one I decided to go with. Appreciated.

I used the Radisson Connaught for some Indian-origin acquaintances who had previously stayed at each of the other three hotels listed. This Radisson was the only one of those four which they didnt seem inclined to use ever again for Delhi stays.

Which of these?

I will have a week in central Delhi with maybe one or two half days in Gurgaon. My plan is to just stay in Delhi central like near Connaught Place, Chanakyapuri, etc.

Imperial, Oberoi, Leela Palace, Le Meridien, Lalit are all out of my price range for my dates.

In my price range the following seem to be my best choices:
ITC Maurya
JW Marriott Aerocity
Andaz Aerocity
Basically all the airport hotels

Which would you choose? My priorities are room/bed comfort and cleanliness, good F&B either in hotel or nearby, and ease of access to central Delhi locations (I can take a private car but not sure how traffic is). I care less about loyalty program; I have Hilton diamond but doesn't seem helpful here.
