Redeemed 2,52,000 JP Miles + Rs 53,571 for 3 one way tickets in Virgin Atlantic Upper Class, LHR-DEL.

Considering UK APD and all possible surcharges, think I got a pretty great deal.

I am a JP Platinum ...

And I want to share a great success story ... albeit, it took a few phone calls ...

In 48 hours notice, I secured 2 J tickets DEL-SYD on EY via AUH

Cost per passenger:

100K JP Miles + 18K in taxes

Amazing, never though on such short notice I would be redeem miles ...

Hats off to JP Team! ^

Are these one way?

It would be surprizing if EY prices India-Australia routes as one single entity. Unlike EK, they do not offer any Eastward destinations (SEA, Australasia, China, Korea and Japan) from India.

I guess these are priced as two award sectors (India-UAE, UAE-Australia). Still, 100K is a great value for 2 pax in J if its return.

Yeah, those are one way tickets.

Few folks in the forum have redeemed the same in the past for same amounts. Pretty great value.

They must have made a mistake or forgot to charge you the YQ.

There are some routes where you can get great value on jet miles. Like I booked Jet airways return DEL -> LEH for next summer at 10K points+ approx 2000 rs. The same ticket is priced at rs 18K

Hope they don't change their mind about it now. They won't right? Can they?

I doubt they will catch on now. Even if they do I find it very unlikely they will come after you for it.

Does anyone have recentish experiences of using vouchers to upgrade to J on BOM-LHR or the other way? I've sent in a request about 50 days out from the date of travel, and have been waitlisted for both legs. There are no revenue tickets available in Premiere on the 9W site at the moment. What are my chances? (I'm a Jet Plat, and the Y seats are booked in Saver class, so technically are eligible for an upgrade.)

Recently redeemed LHR-DEL in Jet F for 106,000 EY miles. Not 9W as they wanted 130,000 odd.

Recently reedemed 42.5k JP miles for AMS - DEL in Y on 9W + about INR 6k in taxes..
needed to book this at short notice and one way so retail was quite expensive (between 35-50k INR)
