Slightly off topic.
Since 9w has done away with lounge access for elites on low fare tickets, I am looking for alternate ways to access the lounge in Mumbai.
Does mastercard offer free entry to the gvk loyalty lounge in Mumbai T2? I can't find this information anywhere (on mastercard or csia sites). Fwiw, I have a hdfc jetprivilege platinum card.

The ORD/LHR hotel tender makes interesting reading in what perks the cabin in charge and flight deck is supposed to get in upgrades. The BHX catering tender is very detailled, with recipes for all possible dishes that may come up in the next three years and detailled load locations in the 787.

Indian-based Visa credit cards? Or all Visa CCs? (Categories? Visa Infinite, Visa Signature?)

Saw a blogger entry that Air India will make pilots caught DRUNK (on the job) will pay for their "training" out of their own pockets.
So the first offense just gets a slap on the wrist ?
This comes on the heels of two UNITED pilots fired immediately for being drunk . They had just boarded to take the flight from Glasgow to US.
This is VERY SCARY . Realize this is a very small percentage (?). But even one is enough cause of worry.

hello all,
Have 9W and AI reduced services to AMD?
I was looking BOM-AMD ...they (9W/ AI) only have like 3 or 4 flights per day.
Worse MAA-AMD...the only non-stops are on Indigo / Spicejet / air costa.
I thought AMD used to have hourly service from BOM?? Maybe everyone takes the train these days?
Just curious.

Due to the runway construction underway at AMD, there are no flights between 10 AM to 5 PM. I guess it is for this reason that several flights have been cut down. There are only limited flights between BOM-AMD and every flight is filled to the brim.
