Seasons greetings to all ..

+1 - dealing with all the celebrations in CCU here at night for the past few nights...actually a cool experience!

Oh, yes, how the Bongs like to further pollute the air on those two days... the allergies my son has must have been implanted in my genome some time twenty years ago in CCU :)

Yes, totally polluted beyond comprehension...

so has air traffic into and out of BOM been affected? I've heard 9w354 was stalled for a while via twitter

I delayed my flight into BOM tonight, postponing to Sun night now...but may end up arriving on Monday just to be safe...

They did manage to find someone else from what I hear. Crew staying in western and northern suburbs are reaching but doubt about those staying in east and south

A hotel guest flying to BOM tonight reportedly returned back to the hotel after the news.

NDTV and TimesNow reporting that Taxi Union stopping all taxi service tomorrow, Sunday, 18 November 2012 - don't want to be caught camping with others in the Domestic Airport! :p

Reached the airport for a morning departure. Roads quite deserted but not completely empty. So trouble as such.

Is it just the lack of cabs and public transport that is the problem?

Or have they actually called for a stay-at-home type of situation, and if you seen doing the normal thing there may be trouble...

Also how are they expecting people to get to Shivaji Park today?

It's nothing. Went did a flight and back. Full flight both ways, hardly any traffic on roads, buses are working. On way back I drove past his house at bandra, it's deserted now. Only place I would avoid is Shivaji park. Can't think of a better day to travel.

What about taxis at the airport? Is there a problem to get one today??

I would still consider moving on the roads today in BOM very risky - no way to predict how these crowds (said to be 20 lakhs) will react...

Flew through DEL today. Why oh why do the security guards who check your tickets when you enter look at your ticket as if its the first time they have seen a eticket. They take an age..... You got to point out everything to them.

You would think that they see hundreds of these daily that by now they would know where the name and flight details are printed.

Just catching up on my BOM news... SS is certainly not polishing its image by doing such antics

Antics?

Dude, the guy reportedly had 2 million people show up for his funeral march!

Further, there were already reports that he passed away days ago, but they were smart to announce/schedule this over a weekend, possibly to alleviate any problems the city might suffer...
