  • Login problems: If you have trouble logging into the Iberia website, type in your number and password by hand instead of using autocomplete. For some people this fixes login issues.
  • Partner awards: Many flights on partners will not be available as one-way. You must redeem AA flights as a round trip for example
  • Cancellations: Iberia awards on AA cannot be cancelled.

they have been extremely poor in their customer service, uninformed and rude. Anyone who got their account locked and hasn't received avios wont be as happy as u , but yes if I got my 90k I wouldn't care much about how they treated me

well when i tried to transfer those 20k to my BA account it was rejected with the message that i need some activity before i could do that

Agreed, though I think the CSRs have done the best given the position they were put in by IB. I blame corporate for all of the unnecessary confusion. IB's biggest mistake has been it's lack of clear communication from those in charge. That and not crediting points at once. This has put unnecessary burden on the CSRs, and unnecessary stress on it's customers

No idea if they will go by midnight time in Madrid or if buying it on the 24th will qualify. We need a datapoint from someone who purchased after midnight in Spain to know for sure. You could always wait a few days once it's clear no one else is getting points and then ask Iberia for the points.

So at this point, it looks like we have no DP where a new account got unlocked after sending it required form and ID.
My old account got points posted fine without a problem.
My sister's new account has 0 points posted and did sent forms yesterday.
I wonder how long it will truly take to get it unlocked and get points posted.

We'll see how they handle new accounts.
I think they are trying to sort out fraudulent accounts (no real human beings behind the account) and accounts that do not conform to the T&C. For example, I know
massive numbers of Asians living in Asia decided to take advantage of this although they have no residence in the stated countries in the T&C.
It'll be interesting how they sort this out.

Remember that unless you are elite member or travelling in F you have to pay BA for seat reservations.

Agreed. Their messaging has been inconsistent and chaotic, phone reps have not been properly informed in many cases. Locking accounts without telling people is ridiculous, and then failing to provide uniform and clear instruction on next steps is even worse. Its absolutely awful communication, poor messaging, and idiotic execution. Sure, they are overwhelmed, and yes many individual agents are doing the best they can with the info they have. But thats a silver lining amongst some truly awful communication (or lack thereof).

1-These Avios cannot be transferred or combined with Avios from other programmes or accounts, and they will expire on December 1st 2018 if not used by that date. All Avios from this promotion not redeemed by then will be withdrawn from the customer’s account on December 1st 2018.

2-These Avios may be used via the Iberia Plus Programme from the moment they are awarded up until December 1st 2018.

3-Any purchases charged to Avios from this promotion (redemptions) may be exchanged and reissued, if applicable, up until December 1st 2018, as per the particular terms and conditions of the products purchased. Keep in mind that cancellation or refund requests made by the customer for tickets purchased during the promotion implies withdrawal or cancellation of the promotional Avios, regardless of the refund date.

4-The 9,000 extra Avios from this promotion have been awarded to all customers who used a valid Iberia Plus number when purchasing tickets that meet the campaign terms and conditions via Iberia systems.

Got 81,000 - missed out on 9,000 for my first booking where i didn't add the number until after the booking had been made. Not complaining though - great value still and loads of availability. Also completely consistent with the T+Cs.
