- Login problems: If you have trouble logging into the Iberia website, type in your number and password by hand instead of using autocomplete. For some people this fixes login issues.
- Partner awards: Many flights on partners will not be available as one-way. You must redeem AA flights as a round trip for example
- Cancellations: Iberia awards on AA cannot be cancelled.

Have a flight JFK-MAD-EAS booked with mostly promo Avios. It's confirmed in Business for both legs.
A schedule change has the JFK-MAD flight arriving 10 minutes AFTER the connection MAD-EAS. The website is asking me to confirm the time change...not sure what would happen if I clicked "accept changes".
What's the best way to make the change to the next flight from MAD-EAS? And does award space need to be available in business (it's not, but available for cash), or do I have to settle for economy (which is available with Avios)?

Just a data point, I cancelled a segment booked with the miles (actually wanted to do a route and date change but was told that cancel and rebook was my only option). Miles reappeared in my account within a week.

I had 90k Avios in my account before the 90k promotional Avios landed in my account on July 2nd last year. On July 3rd I redeemed 90k Avios on an award booking which I flew. Last September I redeemed a futher 90k Avios for flights next August.
I called to cancel my future booking. The agent said that as I had participated in the June promotion they need to check whether I would be entitled to an Avios refund. I pointed out that I had made a separate redemption after the promotional Avios landed but was told that I may not have used the “right” Avios on that redemption. She promised to call me back once the supervisors audited my transactions.
The implication is that the redemption I had made and flown will have used ’old’ Avios, not the promotional ones. Surely this is wrong. I would not have made the July 3 redemption unless I was certain I was using the Avios received on July 2!

Does anyone have a similar experience and had their avios refunded in full ?

I used my promotional Avios to book LAX-MAD-BCN round-trip, and now they have discounted that by 25% in a promotion. Oh well, the 90k bonus Avios is better than 25% off.

I can not fly my ticket (MAD/HAV, 4/25-5/4, J class), and have no way to rebook it in the future. Is it possible to delete my booking and rebook the same flight with a different passenger (paying the 50€ fee, of course)? I would give my ticket for free to someone who can fly it.

There's also no guarantee that the seats would go back into reward inventory if you cancel. It also takes a few days to process cancellations, so even if the seats went back into inventory, somebody could easily grab the seats whilst you're waiting for your Avios refund.
Just cancel your reward booking and cross your fingers that nobody confiscates your promo Avios.

I have a couple of flights on AA for May 18, cost me 46K promo Avios and some taxes. Need to change/cancel flight. Wondering if I should go with the refund approach and if successful move the Avios over to BA. How much time do I have before I have to initiate a change/cancellation?
