There are two A train stations on property.
The Aqueduct Racetrack stop (Which most of the time trains only stop north bound) and the Aqueduct-North Conduit station a few hundred feet away.

Maybe check traffic & uber rates when you land and turn your phone back on, but at 10pm or later I'd have to think that saving $8-10 isn't worth the hassle. YMMV.

Yes -- I totally forgot that the A line had that branch. That's actually very convenient.

Got the opportunity to try to this property out due to flight problems. I decided to burn a cat 1-4 cert. I find the property nice but I consider no proper bar/restaurant a miss for a Hyatt Regency. The Regency Club happy hour for drinks until 11PM is nice but apparently they just leave what is left out and do no replenish at some point. When I asked about no wine being out at 9PM, I was told what is out is all that is left. That made a nice impression. Not sure who is paying the $331 on a weeknight to stay here, I wouldnt. I took an Uber XL and it was about $25 to get here. As a Globalist we got a City View King, same as the photos posted earlier in the thread. One interesting tid bit I did get when checking in, this hotel does get AA stranded passengers. Not sure how the transportation arrangements would work on that though and didnt think to ask.

Edited to Add:
A few remaining thoughts after check out and a few photos.

We liked the lounge space and offering. The breakfast was a highlight with a very nice attendant working the room in the morning and we were there at spot on 6.30AM. I didn't really care for the coffee out of that machine though.

They apparently sell regency club access as and add on at check in which is of course fine and expected but I would worry that they get overrun once this property gets going. There was really nobody in there but use the couple of times we were in there though. Also, we were never asked for room number when going into the lounge and didn't need to swipe in, the door was just open. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

I still not like the dining options, we did have dinner at the Sugar Factory which was fine but not someplace I would want to go to a lot.

I really think they need to figure out some sort of transport option/offering to JFK. I understand the concern in offering a shuttle as people might abuse the free parking at the property but they still need to figure it out. If you have JFK Airport in the name of your hotel, you need a transport option in my opinion.

Found all the people at the property to be very nice and helpful. No complaints with the service levels. Other than the "what is out is all that there is" answer on the happy hour drinks offering for the lounge.

I thought the bathroom in the regular rooms were very poor in space and layout. They are small and poorly designed. It was not a big deal for us but might be for others, that bathroom sliding door would not stay closed and there is no lock/latch. Again, I didn't really need privacy when getting ready or showering (although the wife might prefer not to see me!) but others might. Poor design and just too cramped.

I will consider this property as JFK has some really bad properties around it but the logistics and pricing of this place makes it a hard sell for me.

Hotel entrance from Casino entrance.

Hallway leading to check in.

Generic letter to all guests.

Regency Club offerings.

About as good a few as you will get here I think. Not great but decent.

Yummy, this quiche was really good.

Didn't try the pancakes but looked good also.

Those sausages were really good also.

I just a breakfast by how fresh the Danish are, they were fresh!

Nice regency club space.

Day time view from the room.

Any thoughts/experiences on late checkout availability on this property? Will they do the free 2pm? How about later, like 3-4pm?

Where is the Uber pick up area from JFK terminal 4?

These are the Ocean view rooms of the resort, the Atlantic is probably somewhere down there...

I think the main attraction to this hotel is that it is new and likely won't have any bedbugs for the first year or so, and it is a good use for a cat 1-4 certificate that you may not be able to use anywhere else, and you are obviously flying through JFK....

Thanks for the review and photos! That Regency Club breakfast selection looks pretty good- did you get any photos of their dinner/happy hour selections?

I have a 1am arrival at JFK. Perfect choice rather than spending on the Andaz for just a few hours. Then off to the Andaz for 5 nights.

-Ubers from JFK to this property can run $30 in the evening, around $20 during the day.
-Most of the staff (and customers) were not wearing masks (pre Dec 13), which is not good.
-Room service closes at 10:30pm (lame) but they have a very upscale food pantry with warmable food dishes.
-Room walls are thin, you can hear the TV, phone calls, moaning, etc.
-Rooms look high quality and classy.
-small refrigerator in room, falling apart already and not cooling properly.
-late checkout 2pm for elites honored.

Man, I forgot about this one, but, yeah, I think the bed in our room was against the TV in the room through the wall, and it was a totally unwanted Sensurround experience.

Wondering if someone can help with my indecision.

In early May, my wife and I are flying into JFK (T4) around 7:30p. The next morning we’re flying direct to Costa Rica on JetBlue (T5) at 9:40a. We are big breakfast people so wanna make sure we have time to eat before taking off. We have two options:
  1. Take an Uber to HR JFK at resorts world, stay on a free night certificate, grab breakfast at Regency Club and Uber to JFK T5.
  2. Shell out $300 for a night at TWA, hit the pool at night time, and either grab breakfast at TWA or go to a lounge (we have centurion, Delta and PP access) even though there aren’t any in T5.
We’ve never been to either. Thoughts or alternative ideas are welcome.

Both are good options. Personally I would go with 1 and have a few cocktails in the RC after arrival. You could do the same at TWA but it would probably add another $100++ between two of you.

I agree with coleslaw on this one in general. I would just add that if you want a nice dinner that evening before, Sugar Factory is about your only option. While we survived the experience, it isn't cheap for what it is and the service kinda sucked. If dinner isn't a huge concern the evening before, you could grab some stuff from the pantry/market and then grab drinks in the lounge and save a few bucks that way.

With just wife & self I would pick #1 with the free night cert. (Now that we have a little one, the convenience of option 2 is huge, and the pool is indeed a nice/fun touch... but also don't rule out the possibility that they'll be charging for pool admission in May like they did this past summer for afternoons/evenings, even for hotel guests.)

Terminal hopping to go lounge hopping at JFK is a PITA and not something I would enjoy at that hour (lounge breakfast isn't particularly great anyhow).

As for dinner, you could always doordash it to either property.
