The rest of us are exempt from neither on a AAA rate.

This rate is similar to all others in that it provides us one more data point when considering when and where to stay. It wont always be better, but may be... so we must keep our eyes open 0_0

I get the idea of work from hyatt -- my rural internet access at home is slow and unreliable, my fun and dining options locally are limited, and I feel I have no down time between work, feeding the cats, and taking care of housechores.

I have taken a fair shake of work-ations the last few years (usually, get somewhere on Friday evening or Saturday, work the next Monday-thursday at the hotel -- lounges can be very nice for this for the bubbly water, coffee, and snacks, then completely chill from Friday -Sunday).

But, the rates and promo is really just a gimmick, and I (mostly) shy away from unnecessary travel because so much has changed that makes it not all that fun right now (airline services are mostly dead, half the amenities at many hotels are closed, dining out may not be possible, and where it is possible, may be limited, and where it isn't limited, feels unsafe).

says you have to spend 7nights.

It is ironic. These participating properties are not what I would consider to be good work from home candidates.
Since COVID, the only type of hotel thats worked for us when staying 2+ nights is Hyatt House type place which offers kitchenette (definitely need fridge with freezer plus microwave, at least) and a dining table.
We generally only do takeout, eat back in the room.
Since were spending more time in the room, need more space inside to insulate yourself from noisy kids, which means ideally a suite.
But can only afford suite at Hyatt House, esp with post-Covid pay cut.

App shows that HR Huntington Beach upgraded me to Huntington Suite (as Explorist) on an upcoming Work from Hyatt stay . . . unfortunately I have to cancel due to schedule conflicts. Will try to rebook. That would be a tremendous upgrade for a week-long stay.

Is there any comprehensive list for properties offering this?

I'd like to see a good Hyatt House in a warm climate with this option, but I'm guessing none of the limited service properties are eligible...

Thanks AndyKehn. This doesn't specifically confirm these are the only properties offering the program, but I'm guessing that's the case.

Im confused so if Globalists already get waived resort fees and parking, none of these really offers any outsized value to choosing this vs working at home. Now when combining with a vacation, then, of course it makes more sense.

Are there any properties where this rate, for non-Globalists, offers really outsized value when compared with the standard rate? I am trying to separate the better deals from the less enticing deals if trying to decide where to go for a weeklong "work-from-hotel" trip for a change of pace or even family vacation.

So far, it just seems that Huntington Beach is the best deal in this thread.

Anyone finding any amazing deals? I'm not finding any rates that just blow me away.

Me neither, and I can't figure out how to get this same rate with points. In addition, it seems some (like Park Hyatt Aviara) come with extra perks like a spa treatment or round of golf. Are there a lot of hotels with these bonus perks?

HR Chesapeake has good rate. For example 12/27 - 1/3. the wfhya rate is the cheapest at 136 a night. No F&B credit and globalists wont benefit from waived resort fee and breakfast, but the rate is good. Free parking could be useful next year if Hyatt doesnt extend the promo.

It appears they're substituting breakfast for the $50/day credit. Depending on how breakfast is credited, could be a good deal for non-Globalists. For Globalists, it's a devaluation of Hyatt's published promo. Though at $136/night, still a pretty good deal.

Oh good catch, I wonder how hotels handle that for Globalists? That is a huge dealbreaker for Globalists.

Royal Palms had a very good WFH rate. Though I had lots of issues my recent stay and would hesitate to return.
