No, my logic is exactly what I said: It's easy for hotel chains to run these numbers. You think a dozen or more hotel chains have run the numbers and all decided to do something that costs them business?

I received email from Hyatt for 80 night award choice. My account showed 77 nights on Dec. 31, and my WoH CC spend hasn't posted, so I think I have been gifted 10K points.

This is probably the Hyatt CC glitch where the 2019 5 night bonus posted on Dec 31, and gave you 5 nights for 2018 instead.

So you were actually credited with 82 nights for 2018. I assume that they will eventually "fix" this and grant you 5 nights for 2019. I'm curious to know if they claw back your 10k pts. Keep us posted please!

Hyatt's IT is a circus. Meanwhile, people whose 55th or 60th night was Dec. 31-Jan. 1 can't get Hyatt to credit it properly.

Just to further ascertain if what VegasGambler is guessing is true, do you hold a Chase Hyatt CC?

I received the 2018 WoH CC 5 nights a month ago, shortly after I got the WoH CC. As soon as my current month statement posted, I received the 60K bonus.

The website to choose my award wold not complete my selection. "We’re sorry! We’re currently unable to process your request. Please try again later" Maybe the system already rescinded the 80th night award.

So it's not clear yet if I will get 10K pints..

I just checked my account details. There were 2 Award Bonus entries posted on Dec. 31. Since my CC spend crossed 5K in Dec., so 2 nights may have been for 5K. My total spend is just shy of 10K, so I'm no expecting the other 2 nights to post yet.

I may call in to see what Hyatt system shows.

I legitimately got my 100th night with a checkout on December 31st (i.e. without the CC 5 night glitch), and I too get an error when I choose my award (going again for the points).

I received an email for 70 nights with a choice of 10,000 points or a Suite Upgrade. I've clicked my selection of points on several browsers and get an error every time.

If you are getting the error you can just email your PLA, explain that you're getting the error and which bonus you want and they should take care of it manually.

For example,

"Hi. I got the xx nights bonus email and every time I try to select yyy I get an error. Can you tell me what's going on with that? Thanks"



I'm pretty sure my Dec WoH CC statement closed towards the end of the month and pushed me over a 5k threshold.

I assume they're locking that whole capability in their system while they straighten out the mistake from the erroneous posting of 5 nights to cc holders for the wrong year.

You guessed it!

I just called WoH CS, the system has my 2018 total at 84 nights. 5 CC nights for 2019 plus 2 CC nights for $5K spend added to my actual total of 77 nights is 84 nights. Mystery solved, but I want my 5 CC nights in 2019 just to make it easier to reach 60 nights.

I asked the CS agent to process my 80th night award selection of 10K points. The 10K points showed up within a minute.

choice awards for 2018 stays at 70, 80, 90 thresholds selected on/after Mar 1 2019 for a suite upgrade yields a fresh TSU with Feb 28 2021 expiration.

helpful for people sitting on this selection about to chose 10K points and for posterity.

timing hitting these 70 80 90 thresholds after Dec 1 annually, to allow the 90 day clock to extend into March, has a big advantage.
