Not sure why you’re getting frustrated you’re the one who mentioned Europe.

I don't know what profile of customer they picked for the double EQN, but I live in the Middle East and I was only invited for the 2500 points per two nights offer, and I was not eligible for the double EQN.
As such, nothing has changed for me in terms of qualifying for the rest of the year.

I don’t seem to get targeted for inclusion in Hyatt’s targeted promos. Not sure if Hyatt loses any stays from me because it excludes me so commonly, but it certainly doesn’t drive me forward to re-qualify faster from hotel stays.
Are you doing any manufactured spend on the Hyatt bank cards to rack up Hyatt status nights?

What defines “longtime loyalty”?
I would define it as someone who has spent 5k minimum per year for at least 5 years.
That is only 1/8 of the way to Lifetime Status and would take them another 35 years. So they basically don’t matter and shouldn’t be a factor for another 3 decades?
Yeah that makes no sense at all.

I know half a dozen corporate travelers who primarily stayed at HH and HP because that’s what their company would pay for and they’ve been Globs since Diamond days. They’d then be able to have 1 week (5 to 7 days) with family at a full service property which the actual cost to Hyatt is very low (what Hyatt pays to accommodate that guest’s Globalist benefits for 5-7 nights).
I definitely wouldn’t place a $200 a night number on it, $75 is more than sufficient. So for let’s say 55 nights a year Hyatt is providing almost no benefits for this Globalist, then 5 nights a year they’re exercising their Globalist benefits, that’s way more than a fair trade off.
If I were to spend 5k a year at a restaurant you’d be one of their best customers, especially if the average check is $50-$75 (like HH or HP).
I also said 5k minimum, not maximum every year for 5 years.

I’d definitely disagree. You’re also not viewing the length of time just the $ amount which the time is a factor as well because that person in those 5 years didn’t sway to another brand presumably chasing status with them.

That corporate travelers stay at HH and HP? That’s pretty common (pre-COVID)
That corporate travelers usually do 1 family vacation per year lasting 5-7 days utilizing the benefits earned by staying 60+ nights a year?
That the average rates at many HH and HP locations is $75 or less?
These all seem like we’ll established facts.

I haven't seen a 75$ rate in a decade. And when I did last see it, it was a very sad hotel. (Maybe HH Richardson TX?)
5000 a year at restaurants, hotels, airlines, houses, bicycles, macys, and casinos all mean different things with regards to a measure of loyalty. And 5 years is a bit short of what I would call 'longtime.'
Anyways, it is up to WoH, not us, on if these people are worth some grace.

I guess there's a distinction between "loyal" and "valuable". All but one of my hotel nights this year have been (or will be) in Hyatt properties (the one exception being a small town near a national park without any Hyatt presence). But all those nights aren't even enough to make Discoverist status, so while I'm a loyal customer, I'm not a valuable one.

Most continental US areas outside of CA, NY, and Orlando will have a HP or HH for $75 or less fairly frequently.

Dallas area has a dozen HH and HP almost all of which are $75 or less, the HP Dallas Galleria is definitely a big business traveler location every time I’ve stayed there it’s packed with Business travelers. Chicago out of the city has a bunch, even a HR $75 or less. Florida outside of Orlando. Mexico has plenty. Minneapolis has 3. Iowa has a few, Utah (Provo) is one these are all areas I’ve stayed at and definitely see them with plentiful business travelers.

That’s based on publisher data, not my anecdotal evidence.
