Usually this is what happens if you book a standard Regency Suite and a norma guest wants to book it. You get an upgrade to a higher suite. But you can be sure to get your suite at least if the STEX got confirmed.

Are, Suite Free Night Awards different than TSUs?

I would assume yes because in the T&C it mentions you can get a Premium Suite with them. So Im taking it to mean it is a type of Cat 1-4 or 1-7 Cert with a Guaranteed Standard or Premium Suite Attached. Any input on this and how they are awarded?

As a Globalist you have 4 TSU's, these are the STEX awards which you can use for a hotel's standard suite for a reservation up to 7 days.

The other awards like the suite free night award is different from this. You can book a standard suite for 6000 points per night or a premium suite for 9000 points per night. If you book the room plus suite (in a cat. 5 hotel for example 15000 + 6000 or 15000 + 9000) you will have your "suite free night award".

Both of them are bookable through GCCs. Either telephone or E-Mail: [email protected] or especially [email protected] for European properties. But anyways you can just use the normal E-Mail address from the Omaha GCC.

That doesnt sound at all like whats described in the WOH T&C. From the name and the terms following it its sounds like a special award given for a Free Night with a Suite Award Attached to it, very misleading.

I think you are talking about this:

3. Suite Free Night Awards: Free Night Awards for suite accommodation (“Suite Free Night Awards”) are subject to availability. Suite Free Night Awards are only valid for the type of suite specified by the applicable award at the time of redemption and only at participating Hyatt hotels and resorts that offer that type of suite accommodations (subject to the exclusions set forth below). Suite Free Night Awards may be redeemable for Standard Suites, or Premium Suites, as specified in the terms governing the applicable award. For purposes of these Terms, “Standard Suites” is defined as each participating hotel’s or resort’s introductory suite category. “Premium Suites” is defined as each participating hotel’s or resort’s suite category immediately above Standard Suites, but excludes any Specialty, Premier, Presidential or Diplomatic Suite or similar suite categories (each as designated by the applicable hotel or resort). Where a Suite Free Night Award does not expressly specify the type of suite for which it is redeemable, the award will be redeemable only for Standard Suites unless Hyatt, in its sole discretion, permits otherwise. At Hyatt House hotels and Hyatt Residence Club resorts, Suite Free Night Awards are valid for accommodations in the room category immediately above standard room unless another class of room is expressly specified in connection with the applicable award. No Suite Free Night Award is valid at Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa, Park Hyatt Sydney, Andaz Tokyo Toranomon Hills, Hyatt Regency Kyoto, Hyatt Regency Wichita, Hyatt Paris Madeleine, Hyatt Herald Square New York, Hyatt Key West Resort and Spa, Hyatt City of Dreams Manila, Hyatt Centric South Beach Miami, Spirit Ridge at NK’MIP Resort, Hyatt Rosemont, Hyatt Regency Suites Atlanta Northwest, Hyatt Regency Lisle near Naperville, Hyatt Regency John Wayne Airport Newport Beach, Thompson Seattle, Chicago Athletic Association, The Talbott, Hotel Revival Baltimore, Hotel Avatar, Hotel del Sol, Waterfront Hotel, Park South, The Laurel Inn, Hotel Kabuki, 50 Bowery, Alila Manggis, Studios at Alila Sminyak, Alila Villas Uluwatu, or Destination Residences or Hyatt Place hotels or resorts. (These properties are referred to collectively in these Terms as the “Suite Award Ineligible Properties.”) In addition, Suite Free Night Awards for Premium Suites are not valid at Hyatt Residence Club, Hyatt Ziva or Hyatt Zilara hotels and resorts or at any hotel and resort that does not have Premium Suites (even if such hotel or resort has Specialty, Premier, Presidential or Diplomatic Suite or similar suite categories). Suite Free Night Awards for Premium Suites may be booked only by contacting a Hyatt Global Contact Center. (Please see hyatt.com for contact information.)

I personally never came across a suite free night award for a premium suite. The terms here say that the information is within the award, but usually the hotels entitle there smallest suites AKA Regency Suites as there standard suites. Of course there are also properties like the Hyatt Regency Cologne, which provide one of their Regency View Suites as there standard suites and there Executive Suites as premium suites. So basically they upgraded both suite types by one.

Just because of your confusions, TSU's, STEX, standard suite free night awards, all of these are the same things just different names.

Weird situation.

Had (2) TSUs used for upcoming stays (saw in WOH account it says 4 earned 2 redeemed 2 available). Now its saying 4 earned 1 redeemed 3 available, but all stays are still intact.

Is it possible the property did a pro-active Glob Upgrade, blocked out a Suite and returned the TSU fo my account? I did contact them and let them know it is a honeymoon stay in hopes of a nice welcome amenity in the room.

Just messaged the Hyatt Twitter about one of the stays asking if the Suite Upgrade Award was still showing up as tied to the reservation then Ill know which it is that it was taken off.

Is the bug where Hyatt House properties don't see TSUs correctly fixed yet?

I have an upcoming Hyatt House stay and requested that a TSU be applied. I received confirmation that the TSU had been applied and can see that a TSU was flagged as redeemed in my WoH account. Everything looks good to me...

A Hyatt CSR told me today that the TSU's are transferable to reservations not under the Glob name ? I didn't probe any further but it sounded odd to me.

Yeah that's wrong.

Currently staying at a HH on a reservation where a TSU was applied and no issues - applied TSU was reflected on the reservation properly at check-in ^

Anyone know whether expiring Glob upgrade certs can be used on stays that start before the expiration, but end after (e.g., Feb 25-Mar 2)? Can’t find a clear answer, and I want to make sure I don’t waste a 2020 cert.

the terms clearly state that checkout must be within the validity. See first sentence.
WOH is different than GP, where booking needed to be made before expiration.
