I'd definitely try at that rate. I'm in New York at the moment and would have given the PH a try, except I'm somewhat trying to be on a budget this week. It's also 30 blocks further uptown than I normally do.
Not that it's working of course.

Is anyone aware if any of the rooms have a view of Central Park? I'm guessing all the north-facing rooms occupied by the Hyatt are probably too low to see over the CPS buildings, but just wondering if someone might know otherwise.

You guessed right.... no way to get anything like a decent view from those first 25 floors when surrounding buildings are way higher than that, notably the 44floors of the Essex House.
It's telling that both the Hyatt website and the One57 give you no clue at all about the views. And there are some amusing stories about the cancellation of at least one contract when the buyer of a unit bribed a construction worker to film his supposed unobstructed view on the 47th floor....

Michael Hirtenstein eventually went for nothing at the building, after getting a sneak peak of the "view" he thought he was going to get when contracting himself rather early on in the residential sales period?
And the S/W/E facing rooms are in the wrong direction.
If a good Central Park view is what you want on a hotel stay, you'd do better with one of the hotels on or just off CPS or with one of the hotels close to the SW or SE corners of the park.
