I have an upcoming stay and read the entire thread. I saw some common themes, and thought it would be useful to start a wiki. Please feel free to update or correct anything. I haven't stayed here, so the information is based on the contents of the thread:

- Diamond Suite Upgrades are NOT available at this property.
- Diamond members receive a complimentary full breakfast for up to 4 guests.
- The beds are very firm platform beds. I saw a few posts where a foam pad for the top of the bed was requested.
- Docked cruise ships that may obstruct the view from the Harbour view rooms.
- The hotel is 4 stories.

The concierge desk offers a weekly tour of the Rocks on Saturday.

Link that shows when cruise ships will be docked opposite the hotel:

Is the consensus that 3 nights in SYD and 2 in MEL is sufficient? I will be doing some other things in Australia as well.

The key assumption was that five nights was the maximum. Personally, I would suggest at least three in MEL and at least five or six in SYD at the Park Hyatt, but that's also a function of how convenient the country is for a person to visit. It's about a 16,000 mile round-trip for me, so I'd try to schedule a few extra days.

Yea I don't think I'll have 150k Hyatt points to use for the 5 nights unfortunately. 3 nights likely, 4 at best. Though if I use it for the 4, then I have none left for Melbourne.

I wouldn’t use points at the PH MEL. Rates are around $300-400 unless there’s a large event in town.

Seems expensive relative to Melbourne though. Langham is half the cost, probably stay there.

Hope you’re a fan of the colour Pink...

Westin, Sofitel, GH and PH tend to be similar in pricing. I would be surprised if the Langham was half the price unless the PH was sold out in lower category rooms.

Haven't done a ton of research as my trip is still a little more than a year out. I looked up a random date in October (when I will likely visit) and PH was $404 vs $237 for the Langham.

A year out is likely to be RACK at Hyatt properties.

The $404 was for the PH Melbourne.. But I don't typically spend that much on hotels. I'm usually in the $200 to $300 range.

I have enough points, but I still need to think about the PH HND or PH CDG reward stays as well. I was on an all points stay for SYD, and corp rate for the MEL before all heck broke loose with IRROPS etc......

What's HND? Park Hyatt Tokyo?

I think NRT has more of a grip on Tokyo than HND!
