Sorry for bumping this post, but for anyone that is interesting in this property, there's actually a forum dedicated to the shopping mall on the ground floors of this hotel. It's mostly in Thai, but the pictures of the ongoing construction are self-explanatory. Looks like they're making good progress. Can't wait to visit.

They are still working on the outside, so it will not open anytime soon.

Any updates on the PH BKK? I'm guessing it's delayed?

I have to say, Central Embassy looks nice from the outside, but if you look at the details such as the flooring, the guard rails, etc, it looks like they did a half a-se job. Hopefully, it won't be the case with the PH.

I'm not an expert in BKK hotels nor do I work in construction, but from the Oct. 2014 pictures, it looks like there's 6 months to a year left.

nsmn...,

I was in Bangkok in July, and this is exactly how it looked, with more scaffolding... the employees at the mall across the street said it was delayed by weather and of course, the recent coup. But they figured it would be up by the same time next year (summer 2015), for what it's worth.

I think you are right.... maybe even more. When I look at the most recent pictures a lot of work still needs to be done: http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showpo...postcount=2195

Guess we'll have to wait a little longer to discover the PH BKK. Was checking out their FB page and they mention a mid 2016 opening.

PL agent advised 'late 2015.' As always, I expect any estimate to be delayed.

I know when it will open.

It will open when it opens.

There you go. I know you knew that also.

GHE staff say PH will open in 2016. So will Hyatt Place and Hyatt Regency.

The PH was planned for 2014, the HP and HR are planned for 2016. Not very likely that will be achieved either....
