I'm sure this has been asked several times, but didn't see it in the wiki but just want to confirm that cash and points stays count for the challenge.

Does it say that anywhere in writing?

Thanks!

Yup - from the Gold Passport T&C:

"...An "Eligible Rate" shall be defined as any hotel published room rate, including, but not limited to rates found on hyatt.com, the Hyatt Daily Rate, Volume Account Rates, AAA and Senior Citizen rates and Points + Cash awards..."

Luckily my lack of math skills hasn't totally screwed me. I've got family coming to visit during the challenge and am going to book and check them into a very reasonably priced Hyatt nearby for the weekend they are here. Phew!

Ok, why does one person say Points+Cash won't count, but

this guy says it counts because it's in the T&C. The wiki above makes no mention of Points+Cash. I feel that the wiki should address this -- as well as "Government Rate"

Yes it counts. I have done it multiple times and received credit during the challenge.

If you check what RTW was saying 'no' to, you'd see that the question was

I'm planning a 6 night trip to Andaz Maui where would be needing 2 rooms all with points+cash, where I'd stay in one room and my parents in law in the other.
Or is it allowed for both rooms to be booked in my name only and then I'd be credited for all 12 units purchased?
It's totally clear - P&C rates are eligible and count towards the Diamond challenge. Anything booked for others (P&C, cash, gold, whatever) won't count for the Diamond challenge.

Question about the challenge.

My 12th night on the challenge will be on a 1 day paid, 2 days free (via Hyatt card) stay. Checkout for the three nights is AFTER the challenge ends. (The paid stay will be night 59 of my challenge)

Should I break the reservation up into two so the 1 night paid stay is by itself to make sure that it counts? Does anyone have any experience with this?

Good Afternoon tphamBU,

Glad you're interested! The situation you've described should post properly to the trial if you leave it be. If it doesn't automatically post to the trial because the check-out date is outside the bounds of the trial dates, that's something we'd be able to manually override (provided the eligible night was within the trial dates, of course). Hope this helps!

Safe travels,

Evan V

Can anyone explain this T/C found on the Hyatt site. It is regarding Diamond upgrade.

4. For purposes of this award, a suite provides for one-bedroom accommodations. Suite upgrade award is not valid toward Specialty, Premier, Presidential or Diplomatic Suites. Suite upgrade may not be booked at Hyatt hotels or resorts before they have opened.Suite upgrade is available on paid nights, for a maximum of 7 consecutive nights; excludes Hyatt Regency Kyoto, Hyatt Regency Paris-Madeleine, Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Resort and Spa, Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa, Park Hyatt Sydney, Hyatt Santa Barbara, Hyatt Key WestResort and Spa, Hyatt Regency Wichita, Hyatt Regency Tulsa, Hyatt Place, Hyatt House or Hyatt Residence Club properties or M life Resorts.

Does it mean there is NO SUITE upgrade at all at the mentioned properties?

Thanks.

No, not automatically. I emailed them as I finished a few days early just in case I miscounted somehow and still had time to do a MR if needed.

What documentation do I need to ask for the challenge? Will a screenshot of the main page of my Hilton Diamond account suffice??
