Thanks for the clarification! I actually wanted it to start on 01 November but they insisted that the trial is only valid until 31 October. Anyhow, we'll see what happens!

Question about timing on this. If I request a status match now and do the 12 nights I'll get diamond for rest of this year and 2015 (expiring Feb 2016??).

But....if I wait until January and request the status match and of course complete it, will I then get diamond for all of 2015 as well as 2016 (expiring Feb 2017??).

Anyone know ?

There's a deadline mid-year which determines the offer you get. So basically if you successfully complete the challenge between the summer of 2014 and the summer of 2015 (given they'd still offer the challenge) you'll keep your statue until February 2016.

Has anyone who's previously been Diamond used a challenge after losing status?

I've been Diamond for quite a few years, and have always requalified -- but thanks to a combination of an extended assignment with no Hyatt nearby and an injury that's kept me from traveling, I'm nowhere near Diamond this year.

Does anyone know whether this would be available as an option after my status drops to Platinum? I otherwise meet the qualifications -- I've got Hilton status that qualifies, and a few stays.

It's available for anyone that qualifies.... and I did apply after losing Diamond status because I couldn't meet the 25/50 requirement one year when I didn't travel much outside of Europe.

Thanks -- just what I needed to hear. Now let's just hope they don't suddenly decide not to renew it

Sorry, I meant decide not to renew the challenge program.

I assume I will need to wait at least until I drop to Platinum (on 3/1) to apply for the challenge.

I tried to search for this. I received confirmation email indicating that I am now enrolled in the Diamond Trial. However I do not see this reflected when I log into my account. How long does it usually take to reflect this in your account. I have an upcoming stay tomorrow and Saturday and wondered if it will be recognized

Give it 24-48 hours. You will be recognized. If not contact HGP at check in or show them your confirmation email.

Apologies if this has been answered before (and I assume it has somewhere in the 129 pages of this thread), I did go back about five pages.

Just completed my challenge and points from final qualifying stay just posted. How long before status expiration updates on the website?

UPDATE: Status expiration updated (to Feb. 28, 2016) within 24 hours of stay posting (approx. 48 hours after check-out).
