It would be a honor for the hotel to have me as a valued guest
Are you their spokesperson now?

Warsaw's 5 star properties are the cheapest in Europe. But even the lowest 40 EUR is a far cry from 23 USD (nor EUR as I mistakenly wrote above), which is what Hilton Kiev was sold at. This would be unprecedented as far as European (and probably world) pricing is concerned.

Hampton isn't a fair comparison as this is a lesser (sub)brand of Hilton.

But he might be the best oracle we have , in lieu of any official statement. Will be waiting for further updates, TallestHotelInJapan!

Some of the Hilton rooms in Egypt aren't much more.

I stand corrected, then. My only trip to Egypt was 15 years ago, but I have no memory of the price at Hilton Nuweiba (much cheaper than the neighboring Eilat, but IIRC more than 40 USD even then). But 23 USD for a double room at Hilton isn't remotely close to the rates in Europe.

I'll take his claims with a large grain of salt considering he doesn't even know the correct name of the company.

Or likes to display some eccentricity as many of us do. Time will tell.

A flight with Singapore Air isn't the same price as a flight with Egypt Air. This would be like comparing a hotel in Kiev with a hotel in Egypt.

Why is that? Wouldn't it be like comparing a flight with Ukraine International Airlines and Egypt Air? Or, are you saying the hotels in Kiev cost the same as hotels in Singapore?

Unprecedented?

It also isn't uncommon for a new hotel to have some rooms at incredibly low promotional opening rates.

Is that so? Let's have a close look at UK £25 rooms over Xmas phenomenon:
HI Express properties are £25/€25.
Holiday Inn £35/€45
Crowne Plaza £45/€45
Hotel Indigo. £65/€65
InterCon. £125/€125

Is Hilton identical to HIX?

As for error rates, at IC Frankfurt or elsewhere, well that's the point -- the rate at Hilton Kiev was a certain error.

Including the presidential suite? For any day for the entire year?

Everybody saying this is a normal rate or "opening sale" should think again.

Now let's just pray they will honor this.

I personally have a big stake at it (booked several stays). But, indeed, don't entertain much hope.

Hotel prices in Kiev are even more expensive than in Singapore - http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/22067948-post16.html
