linda's on the mark. a number of hotels in the family have not upgraded their folio systems; I've found that if they have a windows based system, the points credit ok (I'm still having problems with the miles, however). some hotels peel off the reservation onto a local computer and lose the link to the web-based reservation. I hate the inconsistency.

i also didnt get the miles automatically and i agree with an earlier writer that its crucial to put HH number in first, perhaps by going thru hhonors site..i emailed [email protected] and got a very nice reply in 48 hours with miles credited..actually ive had very good responses to emails ive sent hhonors also..

Well I've finally sent off to [email protected] my list of 6 hotels I've stayed at that I haven't recieved the booking bonus on... awaiting reply. Funny enough, I haven't been reciving my double miles with British Airways for all my stays either during this Quarter which I'll take up with them under a seperate issue. Will let you know when the points finally hit.

Just looked on hhonors.com. Looks like they are extending the 1,000 point on-line booking bonus through July 31, 2002.

I was just on the HHonors main page (updating my profie ! HA!), and I noticed this:

The main Hilton Web site touts the 1000 point online booking bonus. Book a room online by 7/31/02 and stay by 7/31/02 and earn 1000 points.
What I don't see is when the promotion started? I've booked and stayed at HH several times in the past several weeks. Also, is there a limit to how many times one can earn this bonus?

I always book my Hilton reservations on line, occasionally my 1,000 points for whatever reason fail to post. When this happens I call Hhonors cutomer service and before I am off the phone, viola my missing 1,000 points appear in my account. I just love Hilton!!

Speaking of great customer service - I had some stays in Italy OVER a year ago that never posted. I also overlooked them until way too long after the fact. But I still had my hotel statements from the stays and HHonors credited them within a few days of faxing them in.

Thanks very much for that info - I have 3 out of 6 stays in the past several months that don't have that 1000 HNET bonus posted. I'm going to send an email.
