Hello All,
how great this thread popped up on the main page today. I am going here in May for leisure and booked the 2QUEEN BEDS BOTH FALLSVIEW room. Will go by car as well. Any good advice or recommendation pls? Shall I ask for the North tower then? Is the view from here really good? Can I get any upgrade from here to a better room/view? Is this really the best view or the Canadian only view is better? etc...
Thank you!

If you've booked online, try to access your reservation and request the north tower, high floor in the comments section of the reservation. A "both fallsview room" should give you at least a partial view of both falls, but the higher floors will have the better view, as the Hilton is partially blocked by the casino's hotel tower which is directly across the street from the Hilton and between it and the falls. Super views from the window tables at the 33rd floor Watermark restaurant at the Hilton.
If needed, it might be worth a call to the hotel itself to add the high floor, north tower request into your reservation comments, if not, ask at check-in if those rooms are available.
Have a good trip.

Stayed at the Hilton Fallsview last night as a HH Gold member. Reserved a 2 queen beds fallsview room, got upgraded to the North Tower 2 room king suite with a view of both falls. Wow, what a fabulous view! Very spacious room with separate pullout couch, fireplace, and jacuzzi! Also received free breakfast buffet at the Watermark Restaurant for two (I paid for my two kids). Outstanding service all around, my son absolutely loved the pool and slide, didn't want to leave! They had two lifeguards on duty. Plenty of towels available, even late in the evening.
Parked at the casino garage on level 5, was a short walk on the bridgeway to the hotel. Parking is now $15, paid on departure from the casino garage, no matter how long the car is in the garage (though if you're gambling at the fallsview casino, you can park for free with their VIP card). So we either walked or took the cab wherever we wanted to go, and left the car in the garage. You can walk to the north part of the falls district (where the other casino is and maid of the mist) in under 30 minutes if you're so inclined. It's about a 15 minute walk through the casino and down an incline railway ride down to the table rock tourist area.
Saw the fireworks from our window, they have them every Friday and Sunday nights at 10 pm. Nice 5 minute show.
Had a fantastic steak dinner at the Sandstone Grillhouse on Victoria Ave, a really nice restaurant without the excessive prices you'd find closer to the action, just a $10 cab ride from the hotel on Victoria Street.
Very nice break for the family, definitely coming back! ^

Hi Arthurrs,
Looks like we just missed you at the Hilton Fallsview, as my wife and I were there on Thursday. Also got the North Tower (I always request it) and got the complimentary breakfast at the Watermark as a HH Gold. The hotel was packed, and an employee mentioned that they expected to be completely sold out for the weekend. They gave us a king suite on the 39th floor at the end of the hallway with a good view of the American Falls and the usual comfortable room with a jacuzzi.
I think the parking during the week at the casino garage is still $5.00, but higher on Fridays and weekends or holidays. However still free, as you mentioned, with the casino's players card, so it's worth the effort to get the players card if you're planning return trips to the area. We usually park on the 8th level, since the 5th level is usually packed by the time we arrive, with people parking there for the Hilton or the casino hotel, as the traffic jams in Oakville with the construction on the QEW adds to a later arrival time for us. So we bypass level five and head up to eight, which is usually almost empty even with the shows in the casino that fill all the other levels in the parking garage. Then down the elevator to the 5th level for the walk across the bridge to the Hilton.
Another good stay at the Hilton Fallsview for us.
Waiting for the Hilton points and bonus to post, along with the AC miles bonus.

Totally agree with blackjack-21, I have completed my stay as well recently. Was completely satisfied, got nice upgrade as others mentioned earlier to the North tower, nice suite to the 44th floor or so... beautiful view, nice suite, excellent breakfast and so on... strongly recommended!!

Stayed there for 1-night a few weeks back on a Saturday. Huge lineup(>30mins wait), and there wasn't a separate hhonors line.
One of the manager chatted with everyone in the line and offered them the manager's reception EXCEPT for me and my SO. We were simply ignored.
(Probably my fault for showing up in this stupid bike jersey)
We were "upgraded" to a low floor Jr. Suite in the South Tower where all I could see was the falls..............view casino..
Worst $300 hilton stay for me so far.
I was hoping that a Hilton on the Canadian side would value Golds slightly more... guess not.
Sheraton is way better there.

Last time I stayed there, it was C$15/C$20 to park in the hotel lot. This was a couple years ago, but if I recall correctly, there is not a lot of free parking around given the proximity to the Falls.

Maybe you weren't paying much attention, there is a separate hhonors line to the right of the main reception line, with a hhonors sign. Look further up the thread, it's been there for a long time. Perhaps the hotel was busy that night and didn't have enough upgrade rooms with a view?

I must concur that this was one of the best Hilton stays ... I took my elderly mother there in late March - booked the cheapest rate with 2 double beds.
Arrived and was greeted with wonderful welcome - upgrade to high floor (39?) in North Tower - Falls framed by the window, suite, jacuzzi (and I'm gold not plat!). Mother loved it - and of course the breakfasts were amazing!
Would strongly recommend it - staff very helpful, terrific maid service etc etc

Not complaining much about the room. The main turnoff for me was for that manager to completely ignore me and my SO.

That can be attributed to the shirt you were wearing! Wow, that thing is loud! LOL
