Got a similar email yesterday with blackout dates of 3/27 and 4/10 (3/27 already passed... duh!). The link to book is HERE. Or call & mention promo code Springloyal.

I'm going to NF for work, so this works out perfectly for me! Also, if you book online, you cannot add your HHonors #. I emailed them and they said to call to book it. You'll get your upgrade, if it's available, so this should be a sweet deal!

We stayed there a few years ago. It was nice. Jacuzzi was in the middle of the room, though. (Kinda weird.)

Niagara Falls Hilton - did they change my room type?

We're going to be at the Niagara Falls Hilton starting on Monday. When I booked the room back in March, I reserved a Junior Suite - Premium Falls View, which is supposed to be on the top few floors. The Confirmation email lists the room type as "1 KING JR STE PREM FALLSVW."

When I went on to the hhonors site today to print out my confirmation, I see the room type listed as: "1 KG WHRPL STUDIO CAN/US VW." Now I'm concerned they may have switched my room type. Should I be concerned?

When I go to the hotel home page, under accomodations, they list "guest rooms" and "suites" and under the latter they list "1 KING JR STE PREM FALLSVW" as one option. However, there is no "1 KG WHRPL STUDIO CAN/US VW" listed anywhere.

Thoughts? Should I contact someone now to make sure everything is correct?

While I don't have any specific experience to give you any real info, I can say that I'd make a quick call to the property to see what they say. It sounds like it's important to you that you get the room type you booked (I totally understand that!) and a quick call could give you the reassurance you need, or head off any potential disappointment if there has been a change.

Hilton Niagara Fallsview Special

I just got my Fallsview Casino flyer today. There is a 99CDN rate at the Hilton Fallsview being advertised for July 6-July 30. Call 1-877-376-9722. I don't know if you need a Players Card number but it's worth a free call if you're heading to Niagara Falls. The Canadian side is sooooo much nicer than the US side (and I live on the US side).

This may be considered a casino rate so don't know about points, etc....

Hilton Niagara Falls - Update Sept 2009

Source: Enjoy Toronto

Hilton Niagara Falls has just gone through a big transformation.

* There is now a new hotel tower. That's the tallest Canadian hotel building featuring 500 all suite room types (family and presidential suites) with magnificent views of city and Niagara Falls.
* In addition to the famous Watermark fallsview Restaurant, there are 3 new restaurants: Brasa Brazilian steakhouse that offers authentic Brazilian food and live entertainment, Romano's Macarino Grill which is an Italian restaurant open to the street, and Grant Cafe Breakfast Buffet.
* There is a cut back in the Gold VIP in-hotel benefit. The complimentary breakfast used to be a full buffet breakfast at the Watermark fallsview restaurant on the top level of the hotel. From now on, Gold VIP will have their full buffet breakfast at the ground floor Grant Cafe restaurant.

With the 3 brand new restaurants, the Watermark Fallsview restaurant is dedicated for more upscale fine dining and is much more quiet now.

The seafood pasta was above average. The crab claw was fresh but small. The Tiger shrimps were OK, somewhat better than Costco's shrimp ring. The scallops were tender and juicy. The sauce and the pasta were amazing.

The lamb chops were tender and juicy. The portion was hugh!

The creme brulee was crappy though and extremely overpriced at $14 each. The brulee didn't have enough cream and it was overcooked. The hotel wanted us to try out the new a-la-carte breakfast. The a-la-carte breakfast we had at the Watermark restaurant was very good. We had the Lobster Benedict. Finally, there's a Benedict out there comparable to Silks, although for the price of $25 each I expected a piece of lobster tail instead of small pieces from the claws.

Didn't appreciate the uncooperative restaurant assistant manager who didn't honor the free a-la-crate breakfast upgrade that the hotel offered us and insisted us to visit the front desk to have the bill reversed instead. That could be our last time there.

Please see the photos Hilton Niagara Falls update here.

Any Updates

Anyone stayed here since the recent renovation and the opening of the new tower? I am a diamond and was hoping for at least an upgrade to a fallsview room if I was to book a standard room.

Thanks

We stayed at the Hilton Fallsview during the first week in November, on a comped one night stay from the Fallsview Casino across the street. Since we had to book it directly through the casino, I didn't expect to be upgraded or get stay credit or HHonors points for the stay. Surprisingly, when I mentioned to the casino's operator when I called to book, that I was a HHonors member and could she enter my HHonors number on the reservation, she was able to do so. Our usual requests for a king bed, high floor, and smoking room (cough, cough) were also put into the reservation.

On arrival in NF, we parked at the casino's garage to avoid the high parking charges at the hotel (see my suggestion at the end), took an elevator down to the casino lobby and walked across the elevated walkway to the hotel's mezzanine floor, where an elevator down one floor brings you to the lobbly and checkin desk. They had our reservation waiting for us, and to my surprise, when I asked if there was any chance of getting a room in the new north tower we were told that it was already set up that way. This was surprising as it wasn't a paid stay and we expected a room in one of the two older towers.

Quite a walk from the lobbly past the elevators to the south and middle towers to finally get to elevators for the north tower (next to the steakhouse which also doubles as where the breakfast buffet is served). We were assigned a corner room at the end of the hallway with a double-door entrance to our room and the room on the other side of the hall (--59, --60) which are on the far north side of the tower at the end of the hallway. We had the "cityview" room, which still had a partial view of the the American Falls when looking out of the side windows, although the other room would have had a more direct view.

Inside the large king bedded room, there's a large flat screen TV, internet hookup, desk, comfortable chairs. The bathroom had a very small sink and countertop, where the coffeemaker tray takes up most of the space, with little room left for my shaving kit or my wife's cosmetic bag. Tub was a whirlpool tub, slightly larger then regular size, but a bit tight for two adults to enjoy at the same time. The room was very comfortable, spotless, and quiet for our stay. Staff were friendly and accomodating, and we found the breakfast buffet to be excellent, with an egg and omelet station, and the usual breakfast foods available. It beat the buffet breakfast we had the following day at the Embassy Suites, also on a one night stay. And I was able to get stay credit and some HHonors points (remember, this was a comped room from the casino) by charging several items to the room while there. So all in all, a good stay, and we were very pleased with the room in the new, north tower.

Notes and Tips: There was construction still going on next to the south tower, so if you're in a room there, you may get some noise during the day.

We found the Hilton's coffeemakers both in NF, and in several Hilton properties in Florida this year produced very poor-tasting coffee, but that's just our opinion, YMMV.

Parking is expensive at any of the properties in NF. Here's how to save a bit. Parking at the casino garage, directly accross the street from the Hilton, and half a block from the ES, costs $5.00, per the signs as you enter the garage there. BUT....it's still free if you have the casino's player card, which you can get from the VIP desk just inside the casino at the left. So do sign up for the card, as you'll have to pay for the casino parking if you don't have it, and they do check on the booth's at the way out. Also, when entering the parking garage, if you park on level 5, there's a door directly into the walkway to the hotel, which saves taking the elevator down to the casino lobby, then a long walk to the walkway over the street. As you enter the parking garage from Fallsview Ave. (just past the Hilton, on the left) stay in the far right lane of the entrance, and you'll be on the fifth level at the walkway. If you take the left lanes you'll wind up on one of the other higher levels.

Sorry to be so long with this. Wanted to put as much info as possible!!!

Caution about driving here. Recently had some heavy snowfalls in NF, as it's just across the river from Buffalo and gets the similar lake effect blasts during the winter.

Hope this helps, have a good trip.

Hi,

My friend (and his wife) and I are planning a trip to this hotel, we are thinking about taking the 2-Bedroom suite (since we need two rooms) . I have a few questions if you do not mind:

1- Which view is the best, US/Fallsview/Premiumview room?
2- Is the 2 bedroom suite better or the 2 Room suite? I ask this question because I read that a new tower was built for this hotel that contains suites.
3- Does the 2 bedroom suite come with 2 bathrooms or 1?

Thumbs up Great Room, Good Service

Just finished a 1 night stay here and was VERY impressed. There was a long line at check-in, but apparently noone was an HH member. I walked around the line and to the front where the HHonors checkin sign was, mouthed the word 'Diamond' and was immediately taken care. I received a corner suite with a prefect view of the American Falls, and a whirlpool.

The room was in the old south tower, but was in great shape. Received complimentary breakfast at the Waterview, which was delicious and offered an impeccable view.

As others have said, parking in the Casino lot is probably the best option, the line for valet looked long.

I would definitely stay here again.
