Do you still get Hilton points if you book through Hotels.com, or Kaligo?

Thanks for any info.
Given you know where you want to stay, why would you book through Hotels.com, Kaligo, or some other aggregator? Are the rates really that much better?

Review: Hilton London Paddington (Queen Hilton Suite) (9 Photos)

Hilton London Paddington

Check-in was efficient. The friendly front desk associate informed me that, as a Diamond member, I had been upgraded from a standard room to a Queen Hilton Suite.

Queen Hilton Suite

The suite has a living room, separate bedroom and a bathroom.

The bedroom was quite spacious:

The living room was small, though there was enough space for a sofa bed:

According to the information on the hotel's official website, the Queen Hilton Suite can accommodate up to 4 adults (with 2 people on the sofa bed). However, the sofa bed is not very big, so it would be a tight squeeze having 2 adults sleeping on it.

There was a welcome gift (Belgian chocolate and 10% off discount voucher valid at the Brasserie/Steam Bar) and 2 bottles of Hildon water. There was no welcome letter.

It was not too noisy even though the suite overlooked a busy road.

Wifi speed was satisfactory.

The bathroom was very spacious, though the bathtub was quite small.

You can take a 360-degree interactive tour of the Queen Hilton Suite (as well as other room categories and areas) on the hotel’s official website at http://www3.hilton.com/en/hotels/united-kingdom/hilton-london-paddington-LONPDHI/photo-tours/index.html (the Queen Hilton Suite which features on the hotel's website does appear to be more spacious than the one in which I stayed, particularly the living room)

Executive Lounge

The Executive Lounge is situated on the ground floor. By the entrance to the Lounge there is a front desk where you can check-in/check-out.

The Lounge overlooks the Paddington railway station concourse:

There are lavatories and shower facilities in the Lounge.

The breakfast buffet selection in the Lounge was quite limited. There were a few cooked English breakfast options and a small range of continental breakfast options (cereals, pastries, bread, salad).

There was a good selection of drinks (including cava) and canapes (such as samosas, meatballs, calamari) in the evening.

Staff were proactive in collecting used plates/glasses etc.

There is another lounge (Tower Lounge @ Paddington) which is situated on the top floor of the GWR Tower Wing and only accessible by guests staying in a GWR Tower Room.

Breakfast

The breakfast buffet is available in the Brasserie on the ground floor from 6:30 to 10:30am (until 11am on weekends).

Service was proactive, efficient and courteous. However, the range of food options was actually not a lot more than what was on offer in the Executive Lounge.

As part of the 'Huanying' initiative aimed at Chinese travellers, fried rice was also available in the buffet, but I did not try it as it did not appear particularly appetising.

Gym

The gym and changing rooms (situated on the first floor) are open 24/7.

Overall

I had an enjoyable stay at Hilton London Paddington and was satisfied with the service and hard product. However, the breakfast food options could be improved.

I stayed one night in early September (Fri night) and as a Diamond was upgraded to a Towers Room. I received the same welcome gift but the bathroom in the Towers room was FAR better than pictured here in this suite with a updated separate shower and tube. The shower was spacious with numerous options.

FWIW, the Towers Room was very nice but as a Gold or Diamond with Exec Lounge access I don't think I would pay a premium for the Towers Room vs. a perfectly fine regular room. Particularly as I was only there for a one-night stay before an early morning departure on the Heathrow Express to fly out...

I'm staying one night in mid Jan, and the difference between Executive and GWR Towers was only GBP 10. Do you think it's worth it for the more modern room/amenities or should I opt for the lower price ?Additionally, the GWR rate includes full breakfast and DINNER (not sure what they mean by including dinner--- any clue?)
PS, I'm a mere nothing (BLUE) and the rates for Executive were GBP198 and GWR 208 mid week, and I have an AMEX promo which gives me back US$50 if my Hilton London hotel bill is over US$250, so all in not a bad deal.

For that price difference I wouldn't think twice about it tbh Especially if you are blue as you won't get an upgrade.

Also if it includes dinner definitely opt for it, I've attached the menu to this post. The supplement rules are at the bottom of the menu and are fairly reasonable tbh although the inclusive options are limited.

Thank you so much for your response and the link. I usually stay at the Hyatt Churchill, but this deal looked too good to pass up, especially as I'm traveling on HEX and it's only one night. Menu seems fine to me, and with the good rate and Amex promo, even without Breakfast & Dinner included, how could I go wrong!

Back from my stay, and wasn't impressed with GWR Tower at all. Finding it from the main front desk was an adventure in itself (no assistance was offered by front desk with regard to escort to room or with baggage). Heat/AC very loud, room ok, but with odd mix of modern/old decor, when draining the tub, a loud gurgling came out of the sink. No ice machines at all in Towers and I was advised to go to the 7fl lounge, which was not staffed, thus no ice and was told in the Lounge by a guest that the only place to get ice was in the 2nd fl Executive Lounge. The big bright spot was dinner at Brasserie, which was fantastic. I also found beverages in both lounges to be exactly the same brands, but food selection in the Executive Lounge was superior to that in the GWR Tower. Would I return ?? Yes, due to the proximity to HEX and transport, but probably to the regular hotel. GWR Tower (IMO) did not seem worth it.
