As someone who never had a Hilton credit card before, I hope the sign up bonuses on the new cards will be attractive enough for me to decide to finally get one.

Received my card in the mail today but says I can't activate or use it until January 30. Not sure why you can't activate it now. I can't find a credit limit in the welcome material.
Weird thing is the card says I've been a member since 92 which is probably when I opened my first am ex card

Well, that was surprisingly easy. Currently have a Surpass card and so applied for Aspire.
When I last got an Amex card there was an issue with the processing and so getting my new card details on the spot was nifty! I have a Hilton stay on Monday...anyone know how long it usually takes for status to update when upgrading through Amex?

I applied and was approved for the Aspire. One question I have is how does American Express know my Hilton Honors number if they didn't have it previously?

Was told that it will take 24-72 hours for the hilton honors number to show up on my account.
My issue is, somehow I was not able to add this card to my existing AMEX accounts..

Probably a few deep breaths are in order. Patience.

That being said, there have been issues in the past (and discussed in other threads) of Amex assigning a new HH number even when a current HH number is put on the card app. This happened for all four of our Amex HH cards and I just contacted Amex by SM to change it to the correct one.

Just got an email from Hilton saying "xxx you've upgraded to Diamond status!"
