Just gonna insert my complain here lol

Question: Why is this hotel selling standard rooms on OTA but not on Hilton.com? are they allowed to do that?!
Although it'll be the tail end of sakura season, that is perhaps the reason why. Rates cost an arm and a leg!

Just stayed here last week utilizing points and 5th night free. I got in at 80k points booked back in August 2018. While I was there, it sure was busy especially during breakfast and lounge hours.

I would stay here again in a heartbeat as the staff were helpful and engaging. I got into an executive king city view as a Diamond and while the room was great, I would stay here again due to the incredible staff.

Can anyone provide data points on treatment of gold and breakfast for said level members? Most of the reports are diamond which is reasonable, but not too helpful for me. Thanks.

My stay was in January 2018, but breakfast was included at atmos with my gold status. Access to the full breakfast spread.

Gotta say the views at this joint lobby and in room are stunning. Service has been exceptional. Cocktail prices are reasonable for a swanky hotel. Pool is pretty impressive, almost always empty. I’m a complete hotel snob and this place passes muster.

IMHO: this property hard product and soft was better than the Tokyo Conrad and the Tokyo Andaz…..

Fun Factoid:If you're a Lamborghini enthusiast this is a good place to be, I counted no less than 4 parked up front when we arrived. Oh ya Porsche and Ferrari were represented there as well.

Maybe this should go without saying but I will add that folks here are dressed extremely well and many folks come in for afternoon tea and look the part so if you are a typical tourist and wear typical tourist garb you may want to upgrade your outfit game to a little more upscale to hang out in this swanky hotel.

The views at this hotel are simply outstanding especially when entering the lobby.

Really like the room too.
got an executive king n so much nicer n bigger than the conrad in Singapore.
The lobby staff are also much friendlier.

Breakfast buffet is very good n had different dishes the two days i was there.
I would skip the lobster though
it costs an additional 500 jpy but nothing special about it.
they give a gold or silver origami crane to HH gold n diamond members at breakfast.
very cute touch.

The only thing i felt lacking was the food spread at the executive lounge.
Food choices were very limited.

Best hotel that i have stayed in so far!

3 night stay 21st to 24th April

Hi,

My mother and I stayed here for 3 nights last week after 5 days at the New Otani Tokyo and 5 days at Hilton Tokyo Bay.

We had sent our luggage on from Tokyo bay to here the day before then took the Nozomi Shinkansen from Tokyo to Shin-Osaka then a local train to Osaka station bfore getting a taxi to the hotel ( c 5 min and Yen 700)

We were met at the street level lobby and directed to the elevators to the 40th floor lobby.

we were met there by one of the concierge staff and escorted to the executive lounge for check in.

We were given rooms 3424 and 3413 ( upagraded room to a premium corner panoramic view) with lounge access for both of us.

The room was huge with excellent views and you could view Osaka whilst having a bath!. our luggage was already in our rooms. There is a nespresso machine and bottles of water were provided daily and at turndown with the bed being very comfortable.
My mother did get a note saying that the windows would be cleaned between 7am and 5pm on one of our days.

The lounge breakfast was excellent, with excellent crackers during the day then afternoon tea and excellent evening snacks and the lounge was never too crowded. The lounge was open to 10pm so we came back around 9pm for a cold drink/tea before going to bed.

The night time views of Osaka with the flashing red lights on all the buildings were outstanding and the lobby views beautiful.

The pool and gym ( gym open 24hrs) were excellent.

All the lounge staff were excellent and friendly and as we walked through the main lobby to/from the elevators all the staff wished us good moring/afternoon/evening ( hotel did not seem that busy)

The lounge staff provided information and maps and how to get to Kansai airport ( we took a taxi to the Herbis plaza for the airpot limosine bus ( use the ticket machine and the bus took around 1hr to Kansai at noon on a Wednesday)

We did the following sites during our stay ( we took it easy as we had a busy time in Tokyo)

Dotonbori
Osaka Castle
Umeda Sky building
Shinsekai
Shitennoji Temple
Tempozan ( and climbed Mt Tempozan which is apparently Japan's smallest 'mountain' at only 4.58m!)
Another visit to Dotonbori to see the nightlife, river cruise boats ,entertainers on the river banks and all the bars restaurants)

It felt more humid and hazier than tokyo for our 3 days there and it rained on our last morning.

Overall it was an excellent stay and the hotel is wonderful

Regards

Great review. Although I'm curious what "excellent crackers" means.

Hi,

Ah! Apologies.

These were individually wrapped shrimp prawn crackers shaped like the outline of a shrimp and with a shrimp taste which hit the spot for a quick snack to go with the drinks at noon and afternoon tea ( generally had around 4 of them at a time). There was another type of cracker but I did not go for these.

Regards

Bon.

1 star Michelin kushiage. Hard to find but worth the visit. Make a reservation as the only seat around 12. About a 7 minute walk

Also Kitamura is quite famous sukiyaki, also 1 star, and definitely have someone call to book a room. Closer to dontombori. So it can be walked but a cab might be better.

I stayed here as gold in June 2018 and was given a one category upgrade (booked a twin premium view room and got a twin exec room) and got free breakfast at Atmos. The hotel was pretty full based on the breakfast situation and the crowd in the lounge during the evening happy hour.

I was so impressed that I went back again in March 2019, sharing a room with a diamond member. We booked a twin premium view room and the hotel tried to give us a twin exec room until I pointed out that gold members get the same one category upgrade. They reluctantly upgraded us to a twin exec corner room but not before showing us their upgrade chart showing that gold and diamond members only get a one category upgrade. Breakfast at Atmos was very empty (did not spill to the bar area) and the lounge wasn't packed during the evening happy hour.

Travel question for those who have stayed. Arriving at Shin-Osaka late Sunday morning from Tokyo. Options to get to Conrad are:
- JR to Osaka Station, then walk with luggage to hotel
- JR to Osaka Station then connect to Yotsubashi Subway at Nishi-Umeda for Higobashi and walk to hotel
- JR to Osaka Station and cab to hotel

There will be 4 of us, each with one larger suitcase (29"). I have heard the walk is not too bad and that you can stay underground most of the way but I cannot find specific directions. Also, by the time we walk to Nishi-Umeda it looks like we wouldn't be too far to keep walking as opposed to the subway. All advice appreciated.
