Just called even though I am already gold. Told today, 9/5/01, was last day to sign up. Agent signed me up but asked why I would bother since I am gold already. Told him that 50k miles might get me a free hotel night. He seemed to understand

Enrolled my husband a few days ago and plan to stay four Hilton nights this month. Plan to enroll myself later as we have four Hilton stays planned around Christmas. Just called HHonors and was told the EWRDC promotion is good until 2/15/02.

I called HHonors from Japan just now, and was told that this promo ended 9/1.
Then I checked the boards here and saw others had still been able to sign up.
So I called back and got a different person.

If I understand correctly, the stays need to be within 90 days of signup for the EWRDC promotion, as I am ALREADY an HHonors member. (Also, I signed up as an e-Rewards member last December, but forgot all about it until now; the extra "junk" e-mails really made no impression.)

Even got a detailed explanation of the promo. I've just started using Hilton again (usually Hyatt's), and the timing could not have been better!!!

Just signed up my wife. I am already gold and we will be doing some travelling up until Christmas with stays at Hiltons so there should be a nice little bonus out of it all for her.
