Has anyone used the HLE Preferred Vendor code CDP 211812 ? Its supposed to be a 20% off the total cost. I've found killer rates with it. Just wondering will I be asked for proof and will it work for airport locations. I am Gold President's Circle btw...Thx.

I guess it depends on the rental. I just priced it for a 4-day rental in FLL. It actually gave a higher rate than without any discount code. In this case, using a CDP like the one for United's freq flyer program gave a better discount.

FYI, the "worst kept secret" Hertz CDP has officially been discontinued, although it still appears to work if you enter it on Hertz.com

I don't have any experience, but I do not recommend using it from now on.

Which particular Hertz CDP are you referencing?

Better not to even say. Problem was way too much publicity on the blogs about it by one person who shouted it in every car rental thread. (The "Golden" National rate also died from over-publicity.)

In a fitting end, the code was "Retired" by Hertz

More than $50 off per week?

At the end of 2011 there were 2 very good PCs, one for $75 off a week, and another for $10 per day up to $60.

Currently, the best I can find is $10 per day up to $50. (And there is $75 off weekly prestige only.)

If anybody finds a weekly over $50 please post or PM me. TYVM.

I've tried juggling around with various Airline CDP's for Hertz.

They seem to vary quite a lot - I tested it on a weekly Prestige rental.

Using the Delta CDP in one reservation and the Lufthansa FTL CDP in another - Difference of $166 in the total price. That is a whooping amount of savings if you use the Delta CDP.

Has anyone experienced using other CDP's that gives the same or more discount as the Delta CDP?

Need a car for five people in ZRH

Any ideas for a coupon code or which class I should be booking in? It is four adults and an infant. I need a car that can fit our luggage and all five of us. We need the car for 8 days.

SUV upgrades in MCO are handed out like STD's in Pattaya... I would rent a midsize on a cheaper rate! The Gold choice is always full of SUV's! No problem getting a patriot etc..
