Well the poll end date has passed and we're at a tie.

Does that mean we Gayla both weekends?

We didn't vote, since we're not 100% committed to going, but are considering it, however can only do the earlier weekend. FWIW. But don't let us sway you ...

I guess we could do that if someone takes over the "other" weekend

Otherwise I'm leaning one way over the "other" but won't make a declaration for another week or so - so if you want one weekend over the other, post in this thread - no guarantees that we'll choose your date but at least you'll be "heard".

I'll make a date decision by 8/15 - so people who want to try to get award tickets etc may - which is why this was posted so early anyways.

Thumbs up

I've been trying to get out to one of these for years. In fact, haven't done a Do in a while. My 2 cents: the earlier weekend and I'll try very very hard to be there

Do people have hotel recommendations?. The Hyatt is so overpriced for what it is. ( not where it is - which is perhaps, the only selling point)

I know KenCT has a hotel recommendation. .

This http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/7065728-post2.html is an older compilation of the "gay" resorts - still pretty much accurate IMO - but feel free to ask further questions.

I doubt my "recommendation" would meet meFIRST's lofty standards.

As long as its not a tent at "HOTELS FREQUENTLY BEING ACCUSED OF BATHHOUSES MASQUERADING AS HOTELS", (thank you GoodKarmaGuy) I think I am fine. For those who are curious, there is such a place in Cathedral City. (an amenity you would never, ever find at the Viceroy Palm Springs)

Sounds tempting

As promised - I'm declaring the date of the event to be March 18-20, 2011.

I'm glad I finally paid a visit to GLBT forum, spending way too much time on Omni P/R

Missed the last two or three PSP events, hope my schedule in 2011 will let me attend!

LA area people : is the drive from SNA to PSP really 2 hours? or is this something than can turn to 4 with OC traffic?

I'm debating flying into SNA directly and driving the rest of the way, or flying in to PSP, which is what I usually do.

You missed almost an entire decade! Show up in March and you'll quickly be brought up to speed.

I'm considering a cruise to and from Rio during that same time period. Won't make a definite committment for several months, but there's a good chance that I'll miss this event for the first time in a long time.
