Speaking of the website, I just booked travel on the corporate travel tool we are required to use, and the reservation showed up immediately on my Frontier FF profile.

I think that's the first time it happened for me....very good to see that's working!

The site continues to evolve, with new information being added; the pages are very "conversational" in style.

Are they still working on customers being able to change seats, prior to OLCI?
That seems to be on everyone's wishlist.

Booked a flight this morning and the website properly processed a promotional card! The last time couple times I booked with a promo it kicked me off and I had to call in to complete the transaction.

Where's the mobile app

Apologies if I'm wandering into the conversation like a child. I couldn't find any answers to this issue when I searched. AFAIK, the Frontier website is not compatible with Safari, and there's no iPhone app? Really?
Tried to use site today. Continues to be horrible-- i.e. interminable page-loading times, wacky navigation, user-unfriendliness etc, as so many of you have noted. Even with Firefox the performance is abysmal.
Did they get some company based in their grandmother's basement in Iowa to design the site? No offense to Iowans. I mean, the smallest web design company in India, China or Ireland would've made it OS and iPhone compatible.
Sorry to vent. I'm going to go place my hand in a kitchen drawer and slam it hard a couple times. There, now I've forgotten the pain of using the Frontier website.

Don't use a mac?

All kidding aside, the F9 website has been a point of contention here for some time. I also get frustrated trying to use it on my smart phone or iPad, especially after landing and its difficult to look up gate information. YX had a mobile website briefly before they were shut down and it was hoped they would port it over, but that didn't happen.

As for your comments on web design, you'd be surprised at the spectrum of quality in our industry. F9 has improved their website slowly and the new design is much improved, but they also just did a major backend overhaul and I don't think they have a very big team doing it. I also don't think the money men at the top have prioritized investing in the website so it makes it tough on the developers to make do with what they are given.

I have a flight this week booked months ago that hasn't shown up on my account page... well ever I guess. I used to be able to get to via My Bookings, but now it just shows me the brief listing but returns an error when I try to see the details. Same deal going through the front page viewing link. I had to call to confirm it was even still scheduled (they assured me it is). Guess I'll see if I'm able to check in online.

I've never been able to get the online check in to work on any browser on my Android phone, maybe something to do with the pop-ups?

I booked two flights last week from my desktop.

The website never confirmed the booking, it just kept processing my reservation. As I have experienced this problem in the past, I checked my email. There was an email confirming each reservation.

The website problems just continue to multiply.

C'mon, no Mac? Windows is going the way of the dinosaurs my friend.
To me, the point of having a mobile-friendly site or app is that I can type in and save my personal info, like my Early Returns #, personal data, billing info etc, and just click a few icons to pull up needed flight updates, electronic boarding pass, or phone numbers for customer service etc. That's the true time-saving feature of smartphones, IMHO. I couldn't care less about calling people.
When I'm traveling, I won't use an airline or travel service's full site on my iPhone. It's a waste of time especially when pages load slowly. I'll just use a paper boarding pass and use my laptop when I have time and a good wifi signal for other needs. And I do not like having to use a full site and paper boarding pass.
I am not questioning Frontier's customer service ethos or the quality of their people. I'm sure you understand that when the customer base (the people spending real money anyway) becomes rather technology-dependent, the one or two outlying companies whose products simply will not work with popular products such as the iPhone are going to be the losers at the end of the day.
I am loyal to several local companies in my hometown who have no websites whatsoever and don't appear to rely on web-based technology to run or promote their businesses. I see these people regularly and am assured of their continued good service through face-to-face contact. Conversely, I know no one at Frontier, and a major purchase on my part is entirely dependent on whether I can access and use their website in an expedient manner.
At a certain point, it just becomes: "Please pony up a few extra bucks so that your site is compatible with three major operating systems, and isn't continually overwhelmed with the expected user traffic."

I received a survey invitation yesterday, testing me on whether I think the URL should change for the Frontier website.

Looks like the other two under consideration are FlyFrontier.com and FrontierAir.com.

Too bad we can't nominate domain names. I'm sure many of us FTers would go with FlyF9.com

Actually the last question was asking for suggestions. I said f9.com, but I don't see them being able to purchase it. FrontierAirlines.com, while longer, is the most natural for anyone to remember.

The funny thing is, they could just purchase flyfrontier.com and have it redirect, wouldn't be a big deal.

flyfrontier.com actually already does redirect to the Frontier website.

I also received the survey. My thought is to leave it as it is.

It's a broken site. Sadly in need of work. A new domain certainly isn't going to solve the problems.

Sadly, I still type in midwestairlines.com and it redirects!
