Considering the last 340 is gone after next summer or so there is a small chance that they are not short of airplanes but pilots during 2017 summer vacation season. Again.

Ok so this makes sense that they had the biz seats available for a while. Someone tried to fix the seat chart and messed it up. I'm probably going to change our flights through LHR with AA. Does anyone know if there's a problem since my ticket is AA stock?

So it seems that I'm hit by this as well, flying HEL-JFK on Jan 3rd. At 205cm, the loss of Economy Comfort is a big deal. Any seating advise on the replacement aircraft? Leg space is critical, everything else is secondary. Which seats should I shoot for?

Maybe ask for being rerouted and use AA from LHR. As a Platinum you can pick any of their main cabin extra seats for free, which are - strictly from a legspace PoV - more or less the same as AY's economy comfort, if not better.

The AY ghost PNR for my AA booking has been updated, but not the AA booking. I wonder how I am supposed to convince AA to reroute me??

I've HEL-JFK booked on a BA codeshare in a few weeks, and neither AY nor BA will let me rebook.

Where is this info about 02/2017 delivery from?

I'm on the AA codeshare HEL-JFK in December - very unhappy about equipment change as I specifically booked that flight for Economy Comfort (as a OneWorld Emerald).

I am going to call AA and get a reroute - my journey actually starts in ARN so currently thinking ARN-DUS-JFK and taking AB as the TATL and bagging XL seats. Return is ok as it's AA via LHR so I'll report back once spoken to them.

And why is that?
Is BA still showing AY as operating carrier or HiFly?

Yes, it's still showing operated by Finnair on the BA PNR. I only became aware this affected me today when MyFlights picked up the equipment change.

I'm on an AA ticket, so I doubt anyone's willing to reroute. So I'm really looking for the best (least bad) seat on the HiFly aircraft.

Actually no, but that's a very detailed and fairly reliable source as well.

Because of my schedule I unfortunately also need to go with the "sunny" HiFly 9H-SUN.

Any further details about the seats would be appreciated. Currently holding 20A&C bulkheads...

Sorted - took two calls and a social media flurry on Twitter but American came through great!

Routing via DUS accepted and just waiting for eticket to be reissued. Looks like Finnair are picking up the bill for the changes....
