If you mean the 18.40 flight from LHR to HEL it's delayed. I know because I'm usually on it. Flying AY today for a change.

Agree! Plus many don't know how to receive compliments either, although this is improving.

Lovely 😂😂😂 well I cannot complain too much as I am on separate tickets so ba did not need to do anything and I am 99,9% sure had I arrived at ARN AY would have wanted to sell me a new ticket 😀

I have not received a notice that the flight is late but perhaps soon waiting for a escort 😀 In T5 now to take me to T3. First time for me its been a busy and productive weekend MR 👍

Today on my AMS flights, no recognition. I had to ask if I get Coke free and showed my card. Nothing about newspapers, I didnt mind cause I had my own.

One Plat had to ask also for drink and newspaper.

Why this is so difficult ? New rules started on 1st April and they still dont know what to do.

And those hand held machines for selling SkyBistro products, they are FULL CRAP!!! Absolutely CRAP! One customer buying sandwich and it takes 5-10 minutes with those poor machines to get cards thru. Machine starts with card error and then after trying 5-7 times the payment is accepted. In Finnish we call it VMP.

Someone idiot in AY bought this crap. Hundreds of passengers waiting for drinks and food while machines offering you at least 5 times "card no valid".

Well, this is privileged information. Most Finns still think it is.

I agree. Another interesting feature with card payments is that when you get handed the machine the only thing you see on the screen is: "PIN?" - which means that you don't know the amount you're about to approve. Perhaps you could see that by turning the device around, though, but I guess only few people do that.

AY staff, they also hate those machines.
One of them asked me to make a complaint about those crap machines. They have to fight all time and everyday with poor systems.

AY wants to sell so much that overpriced "taxfree" and "even 60% cheaper than in the city" bulk, so why they just dont make those machines work first ?

And not a surprise, I did not get my 10% discount yesterday on DEL flight of my onboard shopping because machine just didnt recognize my card. Now have to ask AY for 6€ payback.

So which card gives you 10% off? Is it off "duty free" only or sky bistro also?

All AY+ tier members get 10% discount on tax free shopping, as long as you fly outside of the EU.

I learn something new everyday now if only we could get a award 241 for high spend on the cobranded cards that would be great 👍👍

This is miserable, agreed. I sent Finnair feedback about the Plat recognition-related problems and they promised to forward it to the ones responsible for cabin service, not sure anything's going to happen though. I'd ask you to send AY feedback about your bad platinum recognition as well, so that they'd know to encourage crew for better greetings. They sent me a Delicard gift card?

About the tablets, the crew seems to hate them. It totally slows down the-already-slow Sky Bistro service. They should totally get new ones with better payment terminals that allow PayPass or PayWave, it would make the whole process a lot smoother and faster.

And yeah, again there are tax-free points missing from my KIX flight some three weeks ago...

I've also chatted with the crew about the payments and quite of many them told they just hate the payment machine. One of them even told that the machine is so heavy that it really hurts to her hand to use it. I can really imagine that it must be painful to work with that kind of poor equipment.

And what about the plus points from preorders. It is just a joke!
I have ay diners I use always to pay for my purchases and I have to almost every time claim the missing points afterwards. I've been sending feedback to ay too many times about this issue and they have done nothing, just nothing
I just wonder is it now customer, who has to teach how to use that f****g machine and put the ay plus number there, or could ay finally update their internal instructions?

Well, have to say that this payment system is something that isn't better on CX. On my latest CX flight last month, the machine was taped on every single corner. And yes, the payment took ages. Swearing to the machine and smiling to the customers requires some multitasking.

Well and at SAS the payment machine also strikes at times, but IME they have been smarter to go around that...
