Lets see if this new QF lounge will be available for other Oneworld tier members as well: http://www.qantasnewsroom.com.au/med...athrow-lounge/

Their first class lounge in SYD allows OW tier members so I'd assume this one will too.

I have a couple of AY flights in the coming months from LHR and would be interested to know more about OWE provision in the No. 1 lounge or should I just stay with GF?

My flights are mid morning.

Thank you.

Sorry for high jacking the thread with a somewhat OT question.

Was looking at the Singapore forum to try to find information about the lounges in SIN, but the discussion over there is all about *A lounges, and nothing about the two OW one. Which one of the lounges would you guys use in SIN: the BA, the QF or the CX contracted Dnata Skyview one? I'm a OWS, so the F section of the BA lounge does not make any difference in the decision.

Would appreciate any personal opinion / experience on the topic.

I did go trough this thread, but still, going to ask as well

So...what options do I have?

Personally I find AA lounges (both Admirals Club & Flagship) to be...well...not that exciting nor good. 100% better than nothing, but still...especially the food, the decor and the brown stone/marble tables/counters...who makes a lounge in all 50 shades of beige?!?

Which one is the best for a 2 to 4 hour stay?

Terminal 3
LHR-LAX
J ticket, AY code
AY Plat / OWE + Priority Pass

AA Flagship
BA Galleries Club Lounge
BA Galleries First Lounge
CX Lounge (do I get in to First with BA ticket + OWE?)

------------------

Terminal 5
LHR-ARN
J ticket, BA code
AY Plat / OWE + Priority Pass

BA Galleries Club Lounge
BA Galleries First Lounge
Aspire Lounge

Any other lounges I should know about?

T3 CX is closed, so your options are AA Flagship (good food, bad booze), BA Galleries First (bad food apart from dinnertime, good booze)

T5 no competition, GF all the way.

QF.
It is not cosy, but a lot of space, great wine and rustic food. If you understand "meat and three weggies" QF hands down.

Thanks...

Bad booze is...well...I do enjoy a good drink every now and then, but I'm always good with Captain & Coke / JD & Coke if I can get cheap champagne on the side

Bad food...deal breaker.

T3: AA F ...or the GF (champagne bar...)
T5: GF

(and in LAX I need to try the Qantas First Class Lounge)

EDIT: I might get lucky with the CX...I was going trough some reviews on different lounges and somewhere was a comment that the CX lounge is under renovation, and should open late June. I'm traveling super late in June.

QF lounge in LAX is single class so no first class with their new concept. It is pretty nice though.

CX lounge should be nice when it opens. I've used their new concept lounges in a few places, they are very nice for a J lounge, not sure if CX will do a dedicated F lounge in LHR.

You should visit both of them.

My choice would be GF. Last time we got inedible food in Flagship, at least GF has more variety in menu/buffet.

+1 - the QF lounge is always a good return to "European" food (I use the adjective extremely lose here :-)) after some time in Asia.

Please tell us then whether it has been reopened. I'm traveling through T3 super early in July

I believe they have a First class only lounge in the TBIT at LAX.
