Fairmont Chase Signature Card

Probably like a lot of 5/24's worried about the Chase Fairmont card's lifespan, I just got one and started my spend today.
How hard is redemption at the Plaza and the Savoy with free night certs? In the rules I see that the upgrade and suite certs cannot be used at the Plaza or Heritage but the Savoy and all others are not mentioned. It says the 3rd night free cert can only be used on paid stays and explicitly excludes Platinum cert stays from 3rd night free but doesn't explicitly exclude Chase card cert stays.
The date exclusions don't seem very tough; just a few excluded dates at each hotel.
update: I just checked my Fairmont account and on the first day I have the Chase card I am already Premier and my certificates show (date issued and date expire):

Hmm, you are right, and this is one of the few times I didn't screen shot the offer. The certs don't mention breakfast in the title and now I can't find anything besides old blog posts that say it has breakfast.

I think we may be out of luck. I'm finishing my minimum spend and not anticipating the breakfast certs either. But let me know if you have any luck asking nicely.

I emailed them to ask if the certs they just issued include breakfast. We'll see what they say.

I foresee little if any use for me of the cert.s mentioned by Tasso #1471 in 2016. If I apply at all, I plan to cancel when the AF is billed for the second year--unless Chase & Accor really make it juicy to keep

IF I am willing to risk whether the card will still be offered next year, can I benefit by waiting till January (or March) 2017? I would aim to get the Premier status & benefits first for 2017 (till 28 Feb. 2018,) then get my status renewed till Feb. 2019 with a new batch of cert.s just before the AF is billed.

Here is the response from Fairmont to asking if the certs still include breakfast:
Thank you for your email.
After spending your $3000 on your Fairmont Visa Signature card in the first 3 months after opening your account you are awarded with two complimentary night certificates. In the past this has also included 4 $25 breakfast certificates, however this benefit has been discontinued. Therefore the complimentary night certificates do not include breakfast.
Please let us know if you have any further questions or concerns.

I got the free breakfasts after I got the card at the beginning in 2012. Canceled it in 2013, so now I'm well beyond the 2-year rule, so I can now grab a last call of 2 room nights (before Accor completes the merger!)

The breakfast certificates were included last year, but I don't recall receiving any correspondence from Chase indicating that this benefit was being discontinued.

If I use two ovation certificates from the points from my chase card, do they count as paid nights? Can I stack a 3rd night free certificate with them? That will certainly bring down the sting of high # of points required for those certificates. Currently I redeem for amazon gift cards.
Do you get any discount if you book flights with those points (like 25% with chase sapphire?)
