Errr, also posters on Flyertalk aren't millionaires from posting their critiques and using their complaints to sell credit cards?

Sure, FT has always had a reputation for complaints and there is no problem with that. All I'm saying is TPG has turned from a semi-useful site about points, to a a personal whinge blog with relentless pushing of credit cards.

It's also very different to say that a poster on FT discussing an experience has near the impact as a TPG blog post. The FT audience for the most is sufficiently jaded that it barely would do anything. TPG has a lot of novice travelers in it's much larger readership.

I see 4 ads on this page for the Amex plat, 3 for Marriott Rewards, and 1 for Citi AA card. Tell me again how it's different?

Sure. The people you are attacking for whining on FT are not the people making money off of those advertisements. They arent going on tv selling their lifestyle. And FTers, unlike TPG, answer tons of newbie and nonnewbie questions with no financial incentive, and provide disinterested advice.

That was easy. But if you want to tell me how there's no difference between Brian Kelly and your average FT poster, please, tell me more.

Also this forum is for talking about The Points Guy, not attacking flyertalkers in the abstract.

Attacking, lol? That tactic isn't going to work with me. You'll need to try harder next time. This page is a source of amusement for me.

Companies like TPG typically pay to advertise on the face book, they are not paid to do it.
