Emirates do not appear to be operating the DXB-KIX leg of the journey (shows as cancelled throughout the last period).
Has anyone had success getting re-routed on a different airline in this instance? The language in the waiver appears to be fairly doggedly 'rebook on Emirates at a later date'.
Edit: they re-routed without much quibble. They noted that because the flight was from Germany, they had to rebook on a German airline which is a novel addition.

I just received the email saying that they will send a refund without any charges, but I haven't actually received the money yet.

I'm considering to cancell my fights. We are departing from MXP on April 10th, but our return is on April 18th, after the deadline of April 15th for the refunds. Any ideas about how they manage such cases with this policy ? Do they consider the departure date for the full trip or are they going to manage the departing flight and the return flight separately ?

Well I filled out the form, full unused ticket and got this refund email from EK...
Fare refundable value : THB2705.00
Taxes and Surcharges refundable : THB1305.00
Total refundable amount : THB4010.00
Less refund Charges : THB2380.00
Residual refund value : THB1630.00
The total refund amount due to you is THB1630.00.
An amount of THB1630 will be refunded to your Credit Card.
Are they really going to drag this out and not give a full refund automatically?

Thats annoying. Was your flight covered by the refund policy dates in force at the time you submitted the request? Did you use the magic INVOL word as mentioned by previous posters?

That's good to know.
A quick query. Did your travel dates fall within the 28/2 - 15/4 time frame? My dates are 30/3 - 16/4. I'm wondering if EK will refund me the outward flight on the 30th, but not the return one on the 16th.

Just got 5 emails today saying seats are being refunded in full. So that will be everything refunded in full.
When we applied it was full refunds to 31 March and flight out was before then and flight back in mid April and both refunded and seats refunded in full. But do put INVOL on form and make sure EMD 176 numbers are correct. Seats applied on 13th.
